What to do in Copenhagen.

So, I just arrived in the royal capital of retards without any actual plans for the weekend. Any locals that can give me some pointers for family activities (includes 1 year old).

Yes, burn, pillage and loot...as we Swedes usually do, cheap beer has that effect on us.

I liked the boat trip departing in Nyhavn. It's the thing you typically do as a tourist I presume. Wheather has to be good though. The botanical garden was pretty relaxing too. Next to it is the Rosenborg Castle, also worth a visit if you like that historical stuff.

And when you're done, you can do the Swede, of course.

Go down to the southern suburbs (near Greve) and tune your radio into 101.2 MHz for teh lulz.

yep, do the boat trip if it's already open. without kidding, it really is very nice and not too long. plus you get some history.

idem for the "if it's already open", don't miss tivoli, the coziest theme park i've seen (and i've seen quite some), right in the middle of town. the "nah i don't need to get into all the rides for free" ticket is quite affordable and more than good enough for a family with a 1 year old. and tivoli is *not* only for kids.

obviously i'd recommend meeting me, except that i'm leaving for beautiful fyn tomorrow morning.

other than that, the obvious museums are actually quite nice. glyptoteket (or however you spell that) etcetera.

oh and walk up to rundetaarn for the standard nice view. there's no stairs in it and no elevator either, as ordered by some royal retard centuries ago.

R3: the Round Retard Roundtour
Uhmm... I meanr Royal retard roundtour. Though the guy that ordered it built was pretty fat, too. Maybe it was some sort of fitness-building.
btw, as you may have noticed, danes will keep on playing childish games well into their 30's. the picture above, for example, shows typical danes bjoern and egbert wile trying to save their beloved construction blocks from the evil forces of capitalism. usually these construction blocks are painted in bright primary colors. bjoern and egbert, however, are supporters of the "black block", as you can see in the photo.

I'm comfortably separated from 'tardhagen by the bridge. Scary bunch those.. None of them have developed properly working voice boxes. :P

lord black: horses don't like stairs and it's more comfortable to stay in your coach all the way to the top...
At least havoc confirms that's it's mostly foreigners (those names..) that come and play those brick games ;)

christiania, obviously. make sound and ill give you the guided tour personally.

If you're lucky you can get to see Hayseed Dixie live at loppen - christiania tonight at 21 (it says sold out, but that doesnt mean you cant get in usually), i saw them last year, and they are a scream.

Altso, take a walk on noerrebronx (noerrebro), great foods (in fact for every 5 meter there is a kebab booth), pretty girls (DONT TOUCH THEM FOR ALLAHS SAKE!!!), and a freindly breed of locals (if you dont touch their girls for anyones sake).

If youre into the crafts i can give you a guided tour on the "occult" copenhagen or arrange it with more knowledgable people. Especially go and take a look at the freemason headquarters, amazing building that. And often you can just walk up and ask nicely and they will let you in to go snoop around except for certain places they keep holy or something i reckon.

in other words. Copenhagen is a very interresting city if you are with someone who knows about its history, where to go, and all the special places that makes copenhagen a very different take on a capitol (meaning stay away from locals whatever you do, they just live there you see)

psycho, and thank you!

havoc, indeed! death to the capitalist pigs who steal our safe havens! all we did was sell crack and spray our neighbours' walls!

eebliss, then i'd like you to take me around at some point. my girlfriend, although she's beel living here for over 5 years now, is so jysk that she hardly dares to set foot in nørrebro and thinks north kongens lyngby is a bad neighbourhood (somebody three blocks away got something stolen once!). i love her, but she's a sloppy tourguide :)

iblis, check! it'll be awhile though, for i'm going on a holiday to spain soon and then to holland for outline. btw i didnt mean that thing that time about never wanting to meet - just because i think you're a leftwing nutcase and you think i'm a capitalist pig doesn't mean we can't be friends! (not meant sarcastically)
