p01: I tried to do that tool about 2 years ago, but after 1 hours of stupid coding, I forgot it.
The Homer is done with Photoshop first, using Verdana and a layer for every character, then copied the data manually to the html code... A bit slow, but faster than doing the tool... I don't think I'm going to any more CSS things like that...

Not totally related, but I did a pic a while ago using some CSS to shove different color letters together to form a color photo. Not too impressive, but meh.

Cool! I used the jpg2css and it worked, but it must be block and white. I made a sihouette of Chell(I had it on desktop, because i uploaded it some days ago), the women from Portal. It was decent but... i had missing thick lines. But anyways, nice job!
maybe add to the page that css has no rotation operation, for those who arent much into it. nice hack btw :) (though less pretty)
