port monkey island to C64 anyone?

category: general [glöplog]
Perhaps these guys will do the job... The most advanced unofficial Secret Of The Monkey Island Commodore 64... But looking at the demo, they could use some serious help.

Monkey Island on the C64 would be some nice piece of art I think. I've played it so often and will play it again anyway, so I'd welcome a different take on it.

Sorry if I made anyone angry with the joke.

If anyone wants to program the game or something similar, I'd be willing to paint pixels in any style.
Does anyone know of a program that can combine high-res drawing with colored character-fields? Would that save space? Could anyone program it for a painter like me? :D Old text adventures like Gremlins were done like that, as far as I recall. Email me: home at 365mal dot ch .

diskspace wouldnt be an issue if the game would require an mmc64 or mmcreplay, and loading speed would be increased so it might actually be enjoyable to play.
