when i read through this thread i feel like i'm back in 90's, keep it up, guys =)

p.s. OPL2 vs SID - i think it's just matter of taste, OPL2 sounds often plastic, yes, but it can also sound really cool with a bit of knowledge... same with SID... and everything =)

I love SID tunes and OPL2 tunes too.But that guy says that SID was best soundchip on C64 from all 8BITS...
So I had told Him that Japan MSX2 has FM-Sondchips...
I mean that last PANASONIC models... (Panasonic FS-A1WSX)

Eventhough back to the original argument. I think the c64 is way better than the AtariXL. BUT after Jack Tramel left commodore for atari, commod. The atari ST and the C64 are the two best computers ever built.
