DOS Trackers, and a forgotten soundcard.

shifter, since this thread is a bit dated and originally done in 1994, despite pouet's little database fuckup - i'd sure as hell support him on praising the sb16. up till '95 i had to use a somewhat oldschool 8bit soundblaster that was behaving equally bad as my amiga's paula, whereas my amiga's paula was somewhat top notch on its hardware. =)
"amiga" is not "girlfriend", it's "female friend".
Stupid language with no genres in most words.
xernobyl, whatever, equally good laugh.
Then I'll stick with my SB16.
And so what if it's 2008? FastTracker II doesn't die.

Oh yes...
I know it was a joke...
but AdLib is indeed supported under Windows XP.

krang: FT2 is awesome, but latency in DOSBox makes it a pain to use.

Battle Droid: Who said I was using dosbox?
Compaq Deskpro, with 66MHz i486, standard VGA, AWE32, and PC-DOS 7 FTW!
I'm cheating though...I have a massive 24M of RAM..I only wanted to get by with the 8M on the board.
Geh, if I get anywhere with assembler, perhaps I'll make my own tracker. (With Enssoniq Soundscape support)
enough about pipedreams, though. >buries head in x86 assembler book, and NASM<
