the script has added Ranslirpa Power/Camelot even though it was already there. The spelling seems to be the same.

Aren't those dupes again ?

If so, again, could you please check existing stuff before you submit new entries ?

Your script gives a lot of work to gloperators, they have to verify your entries one by one since you obviously don't...

Also:

Are "The Lost Souls" C64 and PC the same group ? http://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=1459

Same question for http://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=6429

At least Dipswitch earned his glops actually checking stuff before submitting...

Why not let ps or some other admin retrieve a list of similair prods added by blkpanther, shouldnt be to hard, iam not sure what mysql version you run (ie if you have subselects) but if you dont:

a) Create temporary table for productions (A)
b) Select all productions added by blkpanter into temporary table (A)
c) Create a new temporary table (B)
c) Select products into new temporary table (B) where title from temporary production LIKES title from real productiontable (use a cross join) where added-by-user != blkpanther
d) select from A and B so that you can retrieve a sorted list by title (use cross join and group)

print list -> feed to gloperators now dupes should be listed after each other in the list. ofcourse you only need to use relevant fields in both temporary tables aswell as in print out

Same routine can be used for groups.

my 2 ören.

fixed everything except solar, have doubts since they're both dutch groups, maybe they're related. maybe scout or druid know something about this..

and again... http://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=3830

Could you stop that retarded script and do things manually like everybody else and verify stuff ?

Especially if it's just to get glops and CDC your own prods... http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=7989

same here, can't fix since I don't know if they are the same groups (although I doubt it again):

not sure about this one as well: http://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=1554

My guess is that it's different again. To be confirmed.

why not let just him add all the shit and then sort out the data by sql injections (ie, no need to let gloperators work on it until the script has completed)
added on the 2008-01-14 20:45:03 by Hatikvah Hatikvah
you should however, lock his prods against comments (a quick n dirty hack) so people dont comment on prods that will be (eventually) removed.

the country and the infofile from the more recent releases usually contain enough info to acertain if they're related or not. its still a bitch to resort all this out though -_-

SQL won't figure out if it's the same group for differents platforms (i.e. all the post above) or if dupes have been submited with different names.

just remove the submit button for productions added by blkpanther since the script began. this way you will have time to "repair" the database.

keops:
Nope, but then again thats prety had for a person to check when adding a prod anyways. The group links you pasted here i doubt many people would see they are the same (or i misinterpreted your links)

pretty hard Gargh

Blah, since I have written so many small crap posts let me summarize what i mean:
The script works - it adds productions.
Theese productions should be some how marked so gloperators and normal users could check for dupes (the SQL list suggested above is a good list to *begin* with) then when the prods have been semi checked (glanced at really) by people they could be unlocked and let people comment etc. See the adding as a nice base for the productions not as final submissions to pouet db (this was why I suggested to do it the sql way from the beginning). But now that so many prods have been added i see no reason not to let it complete and then sort it out, if comments are locked there will be no "harm" done imo.

I can't be the same group, the Solar PC guys are way too young for that. They entered the scene somewhere around '98 I think.

Yep, definately not the same Solar:
