Bug (s) report

category: general [glöplog]
add here the bugs (in pouet.net of course) you find
i have this when add a screenshot to an existing prod :

>Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in
>wrong directory in submitsshot.php on line 19

but my file is a true GIF file :(

This also happens with JPG's when adding an entire production. pouët.net returns that the pic is not correct, even though it is. (same warning as above, but wrong directory on line 52 in submitprod.php)

All fixed.

It was caused by the php4 upgrade, submitprod, submitnfo and submitsshot should work now.

Thanks for the report !

Analogue:

pouët.net reports "the size of the screenshot must not be greater than 16Kb" when the nfo is greater than 16KB.. also, can this number be increased a bit, maybe doubled? I don't want to start cutting .nfos....

Ah ok, that's what was causing the problem. I guess I'll just have to upload FILE_ID.DIZ's sometimes :). Good catch, Ole, now it's time to take back my place on the glop chart. :)

>error: the width must be equal to 16 pixels

>error: the height must be equal to 16 pixels

>error: the file must be a .gif file

i got this when uploading a 16² gif file :)

I got some of the same (not the warning I believe) when I tried to upload an avatar with mozilla... also, seems like uploading doesn't work with opera either...

i'll write this here, so that analogue will read it :) afterseks / replay is a dos demo, not windows :)

robotriot, there was this great invention some time ago, I believe it was called "e-mail"... you could try that too :)

uhm, yes. :)

To robotriot's credit, analogue seems to respond faster to these posts than to email.. but that's just from my experience.

- nfo size limit increased to 32Kb
- fixed the warning text =)
- avatar upload fixed
- after seks platform fixed

now for bugs like robotriot's one, webmaster@pouet.net
and for others bugs, mail is great too, but you can discuss bugs here, just put a new thread for a new bug with a short desc. of the bug in the title...

thanks all !

Hmm, now when we have this thread you could fix these ones as well :)

Hm, is it correct that, say, "world of commodore" is a top 10 prod with a popularity of 0%?
added on the 2001-06-28 18:47:59 by sagacity sagacity
popularity and top10 are two different things,

popularity of a prod = (number of hits on its prod page) / (number of hits on the purple/orion prod page)

top 10 is based on votes on the comments.

Analogue, thanks for the sorted list of prods by release date !!!

but i founded a problem :
if you sort the prods by release date, and go to the page 100, you will see '0000' in release date !
and when we enter in the sheet, date is 'n/a'
after page 110, released date is good with '' (nothing) and a 'n/a' in the sheet
is it a bug ? can it be corrected ?

second about the dates : 2 prods have a future date (september 2001) so they are wrong (one is my submission, xcuse me ;] )
and the more older is 1984 : but it's wrong too, see the prod itself
i think there is a pb with the news comes from OJ on the home of Pouet
the last OJnews on pouet is from 02/july, and we are the 5th!
Is there a problem with screenshots now or what? They haven't been showing up with the most recently added prods..

that's right, i uploaded a normal 400x300 jpg, and it seems to be broken when viewed in the prod sheet :/
added on the 2001-07-07 11:55:56 by robotriot robotriot
it seems we cannot choose "none" anymore for the second group when adding a prod... that's why the latest prods added are all co-operation :)

I'm kindy overbooked those times, and I have a huge TODO list to do.
The prod submit bug is in this TODO list, I'll check it as soon as I can.

Sorry again...

maybe you could get some outside help? i'm sure that there are _many_ php-coders among the pouet.net users that will help you if you ask them!!

(i know i would help you if i knew php!)
analogue: IMHO you just need to rename '- solstice -' to 'solstice'. And then it might help to add a text to the 'add a group' dialog that says 'please add only the NAME of the group, no super-super-cool additional characters'. :)
