I don't think there's a great enough variability in the human species for that statement to be anything but subjective. If there's any danger and idiocy it lies in the rules of the ego, the superiority complex and the idea that we know enough about ourselves to justifiably act on our ideals and beliefs at the expense of others. something which you've shown no signs of being above.

Anyway - regarding the election - why not see the opportunities - it seems that the government has to work closer with the left wing because the election was so close - of course it's up to you to use the next months for bitching, however that wont change the election that has just been.
