- Should PPC entries be allowed in the Amiga compos?
- Should oldschool platform entries be prerecorded?
- Should the 4ch music compo be reintroduced?
- Should girls get in for free?
- Should DX10 demos be allowed?

ryg: That was debated a lot. Cause the picture quality suffers somewhat from the recording, compared to PAL-RGB at native framerate. But I believe everyone finally agreed that it was "good enough" with the DV equipment used at Breakpoint, and the techincal issues with hooking up PAL sources directly to the projector were too much.

What do you mean? All platforms in one huge democompo, why? The PC Democompo is allready too long. (Well not last year actually...last year it was PERFECT)

But I guess one could start joining some platforms. Like:
HIGH-END - PC,MAC,PPC AMIGA
LOW-END - Amiga,Atari
OLDSKOOL - C64,VIC-20,Plus4,Spectrum,Amstrad...etc

And naturally, the groups with extraordinary platforms should bring their own hardware. Extraordinary platforms being defined by the organizers.

somewhere i'm leaning towards this throw all realtime stuff in 1 compo thingy -- the hardware you pick and the limitations it poses upon one is your own choice

A somewhat stupid idea.. But imagine if you used only one compo, but had qualifaction rounds. This way breakpoint would be "entertaining" all nights instead of only the last one. Yeah i know, its unpractical for like everything and everybody. But it would be cool ;p

How about we make a spot on the stage and have a 3 headed jury sitting opposite of it! We then let all demomakers get up to the spot and try to impress the jury. The ones that impress the jury enough go to the second round, which means their demo gets played.

For the jury I propose ps, gloom and nosfe.
