Since the old thread had been turned into a childish flamewar field by some infantile people, and flooded with uninteresting fragments of source code, let's restart the discussion here. I'd be glad if those trying to ruin my many years long work wouldn't post another stupid message here. So...

Perhaps some of you already know that I am working on a book about the history of the scene, titled 'Freax'. Under 'scene' I mean all platforms, Amiga, C-64, PC, Atari, Amstrad, whatever. You can read about this project at http://www.freax.hu.

The history of the scene is full of enigmas, mysteries and mystic legends. For example, there's a gossip that Bannasoft, the main coder of Melon Dezign, was actually also the main cracker of Crystal. Not many know that Second Reality had a never released sequel. Sometimes it's also a funny story how some groups got their names. And so on...

Do you know such mysteries, which are not commonplace? Have you heard something about someone, a group or a product, that has never been confirmed, but neither proven false? Do you know some behind-the-scenes story? If you do, even if it's a complete story, or just a suspicion, please share it here.

My goal is to find some clues to start searching for interesting stories that are not widely known.

Italian demoscene had some cool groupwars and funny histories back in the 90s, but that wouldn't even be interesting for foreigners...

dixan, i for one would be really interested in the italian demoscene .. i know exactly nothing about it, i just happen to know (of) some italian sceners ..

Again, I'm very interested in finding the 'ROAR' articles Pazza did in response to D-man's Combat 18. Various LSD members are interested in recovering them. Not to mention they're hilarious.

That should help cover documenting that particular period of LSD history...

Hehe.. so there's more than one transsexual in the scene? I was surprised when the winner of the Coma3 gfx compo, Jack the Ripper, walked up on stage, and was a female. Turns out she was once a he, but kept her old handle. :)

uhm, there's nothing like sexual minorities .. just sexual elitists, as it's seen on quite some female and male versions of the human animal.

k, let's not spoil this thread aswell .. i'd really like to see this as a constructive thread for freax. if only i could contribute something usefull for the book =)

ok, how about this.

back in 1995, my mentally ill kind-of-cousin (called anthrax of defcon) found it funny to have attempts at spoiling my name by releasing some weirdo flame-textfiles at various german mailboxes. those texts were directed to another (new) group called defcon. the fun fact is, that new defcon-group were friends of mine, and he made it all sound as if i told someone to fuck them. fact no.2: i joined defcon later for a small release.

but since this was only known in the german scene, and moreover only a matter of our local scene, this won't most likely be interesting for freax. but it was good entertainment back then.

Ok,. I think I got what you mean. That these persons use their gender problems as a reference to diferrentiate theirselves (feel special) from the most people who don't have these problems. It's understanding if you think the conditions they are into. Or based on what I have heard that these persons are supposed to be extremelly clever and I can also imaginae that they have seen life from a diferrent aspect of view than most of us, because of their special problems. Anyways,. but they are called sexual minorities and there might be a good reason for that. Or not?
