The whole thing is quite silly when you take into account that in all industries, there are some people using counterfeit products. Musicians use counterfeit software, they use counterfeit mixers. (behringer) I bet (I'm pretty sure actually, just because my own personal sampling of companies I worked at were like that) that majors sometimes use the odd counterfeit photoshop or quark express. I'm pretty sure it happens in most industries.

Do you see lawyers calling them hypocrits in courts when somebody's sued for copyright infrigement? No, because they'd be laughed out of court.

he is bound to have a point of view where any concept of piracy is criticized, as his life depend on not being pirated.

oh man, that's so cute and naive at the same time but no, that's so not connected at all, it's a personal belief. I have been thinking like that long before I started working for a videogames company, which happened recently, totally not on purpose.

besides krabob: videogames developers are usually 'only' wage earners and are less directly interested in sales numbers than publishers :P
