This 'Combat 18' thing brings a Hungarian movement in mind, that's called 'Remorse 88'. They are a bunch of real dumb neonazis, organizing illegal protesting marches and road blockades. Once their leaders were on TV, where they asked why the 88 in their names (For the lower educated: H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, hence 88 refers to HH, meaning Heil Hitler.) There the nazi scumbag said they were formed in '88, to protest against Romanians razing Hungarian villages in Transylvania.

What is really funny that nobody, neither journalists,
nor politicians, nor anybody else has the mind to recognize the meaning of 88. They just believed the above explanation...

The explanation is easy and banal. Just before leaving to the train, I realized that I don't have any clean t-shirts handy. So I rushed to a military shop near the railway station in Budapest, where I often buy clothing. Unfortunately they had two kinds of shirts: ones wearing stupid 'Police', 'Border Guard' and other lame labels, and these Doberman-kind. I've only been told in Germany that this Doberman Deutschland is actually a skinhead movement.
But still, is it worse than the shirts that Steeler gave away?

What amazed me about Combat 18 on Amiga was how D-man would openly publicise what it stood for, and how he was going to take over the scene with his white supremacist movement. At least when talking to people he "knew" - perhaps he kept his mouth shut when talking to others. All I know is I was amazed that he managed to get any support.

Anyone who might happen to have the 'ROAR' documents from this time - I forget whether 'ROAR' was D-man's drivel or if it was Pazza's satirical reply - well, I want both, if you've got 'em...

there's quite some german books movies about the post-war fascist movement too, i wouldn't see american history x as a good example since it did mainly reflect the problems of the 'american' righties. (if the things, that i realized in the movie, are a problem of the american fascists only. don't know about other countries.)

I have to add that these assholes are not really neonazis in the Western meaning. They are strong nationalists, who think Hungarians have to expel all foreigners and get Transylvania back.
