What about Equation RP21?

At the very moment it's quite new so it's nearly impossible to find interesting reviews of it but some people who got them said they were amazing and maybe the best in the 100€ range.

nothing beats my 2,50 SWEEX internet head set!!
I've always wanted to wire my head to the internets!
skrebbel, how's the BASS? :P
Beyerdynmic DT 770, with me 8 years now and still going.
akg k240s here, too... they're not very portable anyway =)
Rubicante: I have only owned one pair, but try to google a bit on the subject. I will not buy another pair.
Philips HP-250 and Thomson HED550 - the best ones i ever had.
As for the street, I prefer Thomson clip-on ones - very nice volume level and bass range.

Grado is overrated.
I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pro which are pretty decent, but since I invested in a decent set of active studio monitors I don't use them that much - mostly just for stereo/phase-checking etc.

AKG K240 is teh roxxor for me.
I like raping my ear canals and creepy near-perfect environmental isolation.
seriously, am i really the only non-audiophile on this site? sounds like a terrible addiction you guys have..
gloom: They are not overrated. They are just too fragile. The aural clarity is simply *excellent* (before they develop the grattle)
Sennheiser however, are overrated.

For monitoring at home I have different headphones by MB Quart. Most of them are "open" so that you can still here what's happening around you.
My favorite one is the MB Quart "Quart Phone 95" (15 - 27.000 Hz) because of its linearity and great wearing comfort.
(The picture is from another model since the 95 is no longer available but it looks exactly the same).
For mobile use (mostly when on train) I have a KOSS TD-80.
It's a compact closed headphone with not that good freq. response (50 - 17.000 Hz) and useless vol. controls on each ear cup. Nevertheless it has a good isolation from outside noises and a deep bass.
My personal "want to have" when I could effort it were either some AKG or Beyerdynamics. I don't know why, but I never had any good feelings about sennheiser's.

I want to buy some half decent pair of headphones.
Currently I'm thinking in buying Sennheiser HD 215. Does anyone recomend anything better from the same price range?

I am using Sennheiser PMX 100. Great BASS, warm sound - and that what I am looking for.

i still recommend SWEEX for the best price/quality ratio!
skrebbel: yes, SWEEX has leading, it is more than 20 times cheaper and "only" 15 times worse! ;-)
Phillips SHP8500
Great sound for only 50e
akg k 1000
Great sound for only 1000$
i bought sennheiser hd555 high end, very good harware for less than 100€, but not for professionals i think.
I wish i had cash for some Grado's :/
For those who care, the damn standard AKG headphones cable with mini-XLR on one end and mini-jack on the other is not only hard to find: it costs 20 fucking euros. I tried to build one by myself but the mini-XLR plug is really something uncommon as a spare part. They are really smart at AKG.
So you know. You better treasure it :/

i had those (Sony MDR-NC6):
for listening to music on the way and i liked them a lot but they broke way to fast and the noise cancelling was not too good :/
