Cool Scener from northern Germany/south Denmark wanted for sharing a ride to ASM07!
category: general [glöplog]
Hi there,
I'm planning to go to Assembly this year. I live in Hamburg and could take a damn cheap direct flight to Helsinki BUT I hate flying and I've always wanted to drive through Sweden and see the beautiful landscape.
But as it's quite boring and fucking expensive to go all alone (toll, ferry, fuel), I'm looking for one or two nice fellow sceners to join the trip and share the costs.
You should be either from northern Germany (i.e. Schleswig-Holstein oder Hamburg), Sjælland or Southdanmark.
My plan is to stay one night somewhere in Copenhagen and another night in Stockholm where we pick up Browallia/Nukleus.
Totalcosts from Hamburg to Stockholm and back are approximately: 168 Euros for bridges/ferries (either over Puttgarden or over Fyn - guess the latter one is cheaper). Fuel: 200 Euros or less, depending on prices in Sweden (Opel Corsa, 5 litres per 100km). We share it from the place where I pick you up. The ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki costs extra of course.
So, if you are up for some adventure ride through the swedish wilderness, give me a message to supermatse"at"gmx.de ! My alternative would be to go to Berlin and take a bus directly to Stockholm. Much cheaper, again, but not that much fun...
And don't forget to apply for an oldschool ticket (20€ w.o. computer).

Isn't cheaper to drive to Poland and perhaps sail to Sweden? E.g.

Actually, that's a pretty good idea. That would cost me alone 140 Euros both ways and I could get some cheap fuel. Then again, I couldn't stop by in Copenhagen, which I would like... but anyway: If you are from Mecklenburg Vorpommern or from around ŚWINOUJŚCIE and fast enough, mail me please.
If I don't receive anything til Friday, I'll just book a bus or train ticket to Stockholm and postpone the road trip to next year.

The ferry from stockholm->helsinki (or åbo if youre with orbiter) tend to be the funniest part of asm.

hehe you actually mean to pick me up in my apartment where you plan to stay a night? ;)

i don't know why, but the last line made me chuckle. =)
Hahahaha :)
Oh, and Curt Cool kind of agreed to join in, so the Poland-ferry option is dismissed.

oh thats kind of cool! I still owe him a beer. Me and my fellows will then take the Vikingline ferry 16.45 on 1st of Aug. Sounds like the real party is not inside nor outside, its actually on the water! :)
