[Gay thread] what's the best depeche mode song in your opinion?
category: offtopic [glöplog]
DM is maybe the only good thing that happened in the 80's.
I like so many songs of them.

a guy once said something about a demo-party and meant a party where the djs play dm-songs. i was confused.
(and no i never liked their music)

"Useless" or "Something to Do"
I like New Orders, I like Joy Division... and I like old Depeche Mode as well.
Honestly, I don't try to relate these three bands at all, but maybe it's because i'm not one of those wearing badges and tshirts of these bands, I'm not really of a 80s follower.

if you mean gay when you're pointing out at gahan's distinctive 2 to the left-1 to the right-handclap-turn around-way of dancing - you basically hit the nail on the head. then again, i don't remember anyone mentioning it so far. =)
also, useless and/or home and/or enjoy the silence might be on my top list.

I'm not a big fan of DM, but I always loved "Photographic".
everything counts, enjoy the silence and shake the disease
one caress
But not tonight ofcoz.... The "b" side on the single "Stripped". Second best is "Ice machine", the "b" side on their first single "Dreaming of me"...
Yep, "Photographic" is the best one for me, that song sound A LOT like a chiptune :)

a wise man once commented on the 80's that:
"we used to have sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, now we have AIDS, crack and michael bolton"
"we used to have sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, now we have AIDS, crack and michael bolton"
I guess this "wise man" could have cheer up a bit, and notice good things like the Demoscene, the Space Shuttle and House Music. :)
Oh, and my english sucks big time today. ;)
