Even though I'm not a Scener in the typical sense, I've been a fan of the scene for many years, dating back to the early 90s watching demos from the likes of Future Crew, Triton, Cascada, EMF, and the like..
It's disgusting that someone would do such a thing. Glad you weren't injured more severely. I hope fate pays them back and they get what they deserve. I'm glad to hear that you are recovering and it sounds like you've got a good grip on things. My best wishes to you for quick recovery and getting settled into your new home.

I respect Uncle-X's opinion. Sure enough, such emotions also surfaced in my darker moments. However, I do not think I would truely benefit from taking revenge, nor do I believe it would make those idiots change their ways. So for the moment, I'll leave the case for the police to act upon.
Some people wondered about the reasons behind the attack. Other than the fact that we had complained about my flatmate's behaviour, there are no reasons that I can think of... In fact, I did not even know the names of the attackers until after the event. :-(
