Breakpoint 2007
category: general [glöplog]
bod: 1st time at a german party? ;)
Parking lot? Was there a drive in demoshow?
the real/wild stuff will appear later today. it's mostly videos and we still have to encode them...
(in case someone wonders, that means the wild compo encoding is in progress :)
nice way of illustrating it :) btw; home-written software or off-the-shelf? looks efficient.
</rude interjection>
Just wanted to thank all the guys involved in BP this year. Truly one to remember for so many reasons!! Can't wait for next year. wow!

gloom: home-written. we'll make photos of the encoding farm before we deconstruct it, i think :)
ryg: ooh, it's networked? color me curious. :)
yes it is: here's our encoding farm :)
(all sponsored machines, in case someone wonders: no, we didn't spend any money on this :)

ryg: sweet. :) when the dust settles, it would be cool to see some stats and specs on the project.. and, of course, if it would be possible to use the setup at other parties (assembly comes to mind).
thats a nice farm :)
thanks ryg, looking forward to those :)
party rocked. thanks for the good time everyone :)
Yes! It was a nice party and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!!
And I think I offended somebody the last night by calling him the 'Uwe Boll of the demoscene'.... not sure who it was though...

okkie, i think i remember you calling someone that but i can't remember who it was either.
I bet the encoding farm runs on processed orphan children.
I just want to thank you all for a really really great party.
A lot of nice surprises and productions in the compos!
So, to the entire organizing team, lead by Scamp: You rock!
Oh yeah - thanks for ordering the nice weather :D

i've been sober as fuck for almost all the time, but i still feel the bp-aftereffects echoing somewhere in my body. something's screaming inside, it feels like i accidentally eat someone.
will take a week to re-adjust digesting system to normal mode again.
In my book the Console/wild-HW compo was the coolest compo @ BP this year.
Of course KUDOS to the BP orgs and also to the new Amiga compo team.
You did great!
Hope next year the corporate ticket will still be available.

This party kicked so much ass, thank you BP orgos and crew!
One of the best moments was after the democompo. When you would walk from the partyhall to the bonfire you would first have to pass a hallway with people jamming on drums and flutes, then you would have to pass the dancing crowd in the boozetent and then outside there would be the usualy people partying at the bonfire. Little subparties on breakpoint going on everywhere, what more do you need? :-)

more pics on slengpung.com than imagefap.com ;)
is there a count of howmany people were there?
My first Breakpoint, but an excellent one. I didn't meet a single person I didn't like (although the Gypopotamus/Mario/Asterix's blacksmith who was selling kebabs and garlic bread didn't seem to like me).
Huge thanks to Scamp, who looked far too stressed and busy for me to thank in person, to Truck for being a Perl script and for singing Hard Rock Hallelujah, and to reed and smash for providing my Love Story Photo entry.
Danke schön!
