Organizer looking for Coders, Graphicians and Muzaxxers

category: general [glöplog]
Interesting initiative, I've been missing people trying to create a group.
BTW you cannot be a good organizer if you are not able to motivate people enough. And this means being a personification of Satan sometimes ;)

Best way to motivate people: don't try to motivate people.

a demogroup should be created through personal relations and not through whoring on pouet. go and get to know people! if you don't have enough personal contacts you can motivates, then how can you initiate a group? the way you are taking will not last.

hehe, the old question "how to get groupmembers to actually produce stuff" (without threatening to boot 'em :))) dipswitch is right, "friendship" or at least some kind of perceived bond is the key. Make friends, get them to join your group and then emotionally blackmail them all!!

"If you loved me and I was a REAL friend....you would code this intro for me!!!" :`-(

perhaps a little group sex too...no better way to create a strong sense of bonding then shooting your loads up eachothers asses.

stethuz, let's make some serious business after bp07 then. i'm not gonna part from this well known group for just options, sorry. i'm sure you can win the bp anyway, and then upgrade your group to better one after that.

Nosfe: I see. You are the only one understanding business here. I bet all those people talking about friendship here never won a democompo!!

Stethuz : I would disagree.. whatever format theres always rivalry, just hopefully its the friendly sort. Demo makers coders/musicians/artists make money out of it? nope.

maybe years ago long before the net, a demo was finished where I lived with a friend, I didn't do to much with the demo.

Some friends from other groups rang me that day just generally, told them we were putting the finishing touchs to it. Most of them rang back later and got it via modem and sent it to their contacts, without me even asking.

So sometimes it does come down to friendship, I have known some of the sceners from my format for over 15 years.

as for winning comps, more time spent on working on the demo than moaning is more productive ;-)
hahaha, what the fuck.
stethuz, i'd say do not establish a group since u don't know nothin'
