Hope this thread is no repost. But I'm interested who did monochrome screens on ATARI ST. The badest way to show what is possible to do with this machine :D

an ugly shit but funny. Know some more?

- Loads of ST News editions had (pretty good!) monochrome intro screens, usually from Digital Insanity/Lost Boys
- the Demounstures demo by TOS Crew has a mono screen

I'm quite sure there's a load more, I'll try to remember those and post here (if nobody beats me to it... ;))

why not if it's 640x400 70Hz. I'm also still searching. I know there were some hidden monochrome screens in some ST demos, but i can't rember wich ones.

seppjo: it's even worse for me- i am damn sure i added a pure monochrome demo to pouet about 6-9 months ago. but no idea about the name atm... maybe i should add less and remember more? ;)

Is fullscreen monochrome possible?

xernobyl: the overscan hardware was designed to do just that, and was widely used back in the days, but afaik nobody has done it in software only

hardware, as in expansion card-alike thing with dozens of wires you had to solder directly onto the motherboard ;(

"dead braincells" did a partial monochrome overscan without hardware.

European Demos by Overlanders has a mono screen
