[!] Game dev question..
category: general [glöplog]
So you really don't see different between lame group and the legends? OMG what your are doing on the scene?
this is fucking funny, especially from my standpoint :)
monk: lame, elite? READ MY LIPS, IF IT WORKS 100% IT IS GOOD RELEASE. even "lamers" released working releases. and game developing company doesnt really care if its released by TRSI 313375 or RELOADED l4m4hz.. heh :D
Maybe John Carmack doesn't care, cos he knows professionals will take care of his stuff. But small companies? Who will give a shit and check game which was released by 3 Small Monkeys?
I doubt "fame" exists outside the warez-scene itself...
ahh, if i´m interested in some game i dont care about the name of the group who released it, coz the game interests me,so you check the warez in order of the famous cracker names and not the intersting games itself??? strange. but we all buy our stuff so nobody cares about cracks. :D
Sure it is. We (demoscene) are the same computer freaks community with gamers and game development companies and waraz groups. Ask your non-scene friends if they knows Fairlight, Paradox or Razor1911. And you think game designers which are in the most ex-sceners don't know them?
(my post was reply to Gargaj's one)
monk, your time machine has stuck in 1990, please refer to your manual for troubleshoot. if the problem is not solved, call customer support.
I'm working at computer service and i'm in the firm now ;)
a lot of people in game dev do know the names of old famous warez groups. however, most of them also think the scene was only on the amiga and died in 1993. :)
monk, you're so unbelievably stupid that it hurts :)

Yeah, that sounds about right ;-)
Dude.. if you said something like that i think you took it too serious like some guys who don't feel parody mood in first Starship Troopers movie.
Truth anyway is there is some non comedy other side of coin in this thread, sad one..
Everyone fuck in the ass somebody else, dog eat dog, omg!

and ALWAYS WHEN YOU COPY somebody loses money.
i always thought that in the first place somebody DOESNT MAKE money.
not that i have much time to play, but name me only one interesting pciso at the moment, i might buy it.
and imho 90% of all worldwide leechers dont care if a rls is from -BLA or -PFF, so this thread is made out of a bs theory.
well, it's not really that much of a "bs theory". on the one hand, one wouldn't leech a release just because it's cracked by fairlight. but then again, one might rather leech a gba release from venom or rs than from trashman.
czesc monk btw! =) jak tam? musze wrescie zainstalowac gadugadu tutaj. :)
Dipswitch- instaluj, instaluj, moj numer sie nie zmienil, 6946910, wpadnij na pogaduszki :)
at least it gives some guarantee the chance of having keyloggers and other malware in the keygens/patches/etc are a little lower.. and yes, monk.. welcome to 2007!
what i really wanted to say^^ is..
of course some groupnames stand for quality, but the theory that game developers could profit in any way by releasing their games also through a warezgroup seems a bit senseless to me. maybe some unknown sharewaregame developers could boost their companys level of awareness this way, but..uhlolwtf?!

So, at least according to the US Department of State, some software developers do in fact supply warez groups. Admittedly the article is from December 2001 but that's hardly 1988 or 1990...

Some members of DrinkOrDie and other Warez groups are software company employees who steal their firm's software prior to its public release and provide it to other Warez members.

ha ha, this thread is just great. The most funny thing is, that monk, which is the infamous troll on polish sites, doesn't have his most deadly weapon on this forum. If he would write in polish here, then nobody on this forum would have stand a chance against him. But now ... :D. Please continue :D. I'll link this thread to all that were insulted by monk in the past :).
monk:
typical gamer doesn't give a shit about it, if the game was cracked by xxx or yyy. And how can you distinguish a lamer from a non lamer cracker? Name of the group is not so important. The important thing is the crack itself. Well if you would like to loose some money, send me a copy of your game and I'll crack it with a pleasure :) - just for You :*.
