when we consider the uses to which it can be put!!

from a gamerlamer view:

the wii is a nice little console with an innovative controller- thats all. i ll buy one if i see one, but its nothing i would stress myself to get.

ps3 is/willbe a musthave because of several ps3only titles.
but the actual softwarelineup is near to nothing, except 2-3 interesting titles.

imho the milestones of "newer" console generations were famicom, psone, dreamcast, xbox360..the rest of everything released during this timespan was not such a revolution (but of course nice to have^^).

Wii games look like shit! Sure their controllers are a great idea, but what's with the shit graphics and childish themes?

I'd much prefer to be gunning people down and beating them up in cinematic and realistic detail!

I prefer content and ideas to superficial stuff like graphics. Wii is the only console I would even remotely be interested in.

Meaningful stylization above empty photo-realism. That's what the goal could be.

About Wii not being develper friendly... I never read anything like that. PS3 is not developer friendly, xbox360 probably has the best IDE and tools, and support, but Wii SDK is about 100 times cheaper than the other two ;)

if there is a wii demo, it will be proof of concept. the only thing really interesting is the level of interactivity, and that is of little relevance to demomakers, who would probably turn to the more "powerful" consoles for serious barrier-breakage.

That's why people still demo C64s.
