Random Lucid Dream Thread
category: general [glöplog]
To state the obvious, this thread is for posting your lucid dreams. If you don't know what lucid dreaming is, check out www.dreamviews.com. If you're already a lucid dreamer, check out my site . It is dedicated to spreading the knowledge of lucid dreaming to the general public. That's what I'm doing right now! :-) I will start posting mine tomorrow.
Whoops! Let me try this again. Here's my site members.cox.net/steohawk.
I've never had any, even though when I was younger I actually tried.
had maybe 0-3, most of those were those flying experiences which you could control freely. ok i'm not sure if those even count.
Here's mine from last night:
I started out in the middle of a mall. I was sitting with a group of kids, and I realized that I was a kid too. We were being given a speech by Dixie Carter. This makes absolutely no sense, so I become lucid. I went out of the mall and studied the concrete. It had a hexagon pattern. This isn't as dumb as it sounds. By studying details, my lucidity increases. The concrete became clearer and more detailed. I started jumping through the parking lot like the Incredible Hulk. I like to do this to get from place to place in my dreams. I suddenly remembered that I was going to post this here, so I decided to do something special. I spun around in circles and "requested" that my dream look like a demoscene. I suddenly ended up floating in a giant orange slushy. The place had some cool "effects" that reminded me of deities by mfx. There was a giant straw in the slushy, and it was doing something funky. When I went to check it out, my alarm clock woke me up.
BTW, I give mfx permission to use my dream as inspiration, as long as they mention my name. :-)

Not a dream, but it almost felt like it.

Last night I started in an ancient Roman garden. I stopped to examine some columns. They were white, and they felt like porceline. The details became clearer, so I turned away from the wall to notice a naked woman walking around. She had a hairy chest, so I decided to "transform" her into something more pleasent: Jodelle Ferland. This isn't the first time I've put her in my dreams, and it certainly won't be the last time. When she appeared, she was wearing that pink dress that she wore for that Tideland thing. I gently removed her dress, and got her to lay down. I removed my clothes, and proceeded to have sex with her. I won't get into too many details, but it was great. After I was done, I explored the ruins. Jodelle decided to come with me, so she hung by my side. The garden turned out to be fairly boring, but it was surrounded by deep forest. I went into the forest, hoping to find something interesting. As I got deeper into the forest, the sky got darker. It eventually turned night time, and all the trees lit up with colored lights, like Christmas trees. Jodelle was still naked, staring up at the lights. I told her that it would be better if we could watch the lights while we layed down together. I decided not to have sex, because I knew the alarm was about to go off. If it woke me up before I was finished, then I would be dissappointed. So, I decided to just cuddle with her. That lasted for about a minute, and then my alarm went off.
I suppose the first you need is to be aware of your dreams to do that. But, what about if you have not been aware in the last 10 years?
I remember using my dreams for solving problems... even mathematical problems of low/medium difficulty. But it was stressing. I really prefer to remember no dream at all.

I am waiting for okkie's pornstar post here....

Lucid dreaming is like virtual reality. You can do anything you want. Why wouldn't you want to lucid dream? That's the key! Intent is one of the most important things. If you really want to lucid dream, it becomes a whole lot easier. Just reading about lucid dreams is often enough to cause some. The other very important thing is dream recall. That's harder, but with enough practice, it won't be a problem. Every dreams, even if they don't remember.

I like it random. Why bother thinking if it can run automaticly?
@xernobyl
It depends. You may also want things that you can't have in real life. I wanted Jodelle Ferland. I can't (and won't) have her in real life. My dreams didn't give her to me automatically. They gave me a hairy-chested woman.
I would post my dream from last night, but it's late. I just got done watching Superman Returns. I will post two tomorrow.

I have to practice memorizing every song I hear, so that when I hear songs in dreams, I can memorize them for when I wake up. But too often, in the dream, I think I own the CD and don't need to memorize the song. Only when I wake up do I realize that 1) I invented the song and would have been able to do anything I want with it, and 2) the song is now gone forever. I have remembered some, though, I've scrawled them down on some paper I have next to my bed. The strange thing is that they are quite different from what I'd normally write.
Also, I used to do a lot of lucid dreaming. I used to try lots of experiments, and I was amazed at how much detail I seemed to perceive. I once used my hands grab onto a metal pole and swing around it, like I used to do in the playground in elementary school, and I could feel the cold metal against my hand quite clearly.
These days I usually just realize that I'm dreaming and figure out that I therefore have superpowers. I tend to be a megalomaniac in that case. Like this one time, I was a really cruel emperor, at the top of some giant tower, and one of my uncles who was there came up to me and told me off. He threatened to kill me, so I dared him to push me over the ledge. He hesitated for a second, and then pushed me, but my secret weapon is that in dreams I can fly, so I fell down but then flew backup, laughing maniacally, and shot fireballs at everyone out of my hands.
I wonder if it's possible in dreams to have senses that don't exist in reality. Like, if you don't have eyes, you can still see in dreams. So if you don't have (imaginary sensory organ), you might still be able to (that imaginary sense).

WTF. I was going to tell you Steohawk that I would try lucid dreaming if you accept that you CAN have her (Jodelle Ferland), even if the possibility is low. This was my thought before I search in google for that person... WTF! Hey guy, I think you are free to dream with whatever you want... but she is 12 years old! WTF...
Yesso: from this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernon_Mountcastle I suppose you can't experiment an imaginary sense. I suppose you are only able to dream with things based in your experience. You dream with images because you are not blind. But born blind people don't do it.

@yesso
I don't know about "extra" senses, but it may be possible for someone who has been blind sense birth to see in their dreams. However, what they see may not be "realistic." Even if a person has never been able to see, the part of their brain that interprets sight still works. Therefore, I believe it's possible, but I'm certainly not qualified to confirm it.
@texel
You have broken one of the golden rules of lucid dream discussion: Never take someone's lucid dreams too seriously. Believe me when I tell you that my dreams are "normal" compared to other things I've heard. I've heard perfectly sane people pretend to be terrorists, or megalomaniacs like yesso. There is nothing wrong with that, unless that person can't tell the difference between dreams and real life. That's why I said I would never have Jodelle Ferland, because I wouldn't touch her if she was the last other person on Earth. My dreams let me do anything I want, without legal or moral consequence. This is something I mention on my site. I believe that a widespread knowledge of lucid dreaming may actually decrease crime and immorality. That said, you should certainly try lucid dreaming.
Now, let me get to my dream from the night before. It started in a ruined castle at night. There wasn't much light from the sky, but there were some glowing mushrooms of different colors. There seems to be a theme in my dreams about glowing vegetation. Anyway, there were some gnomes walking around. I tried to catch some, but they were too fast. I decided to explore the castle. Just like the ruins in my other dream, there was nothing to see. The only way out of the castle was to float up in the air. To my dismay, I saw that the castle was sitting on a rock in the middle of the ocean. I wanted to change the scenery, but I decided to have sex first. I floated back down to to the ground, and "summoned" Conchita Campbell. She was wearing a white dress with pink flowers. I started to undress her, and then my alarm went off. That sucks. I will post my dream from last night later today.

i don't give a fuck
Horay! rmeht is this thread's first troll. Let's all congradulate him.
at least he's not some scary wannabe paedophile
Horay! havoc is this thread's second troll. We're on a troll roll. BTW, in case you didn't get the memo, this is a thread about lucid dreams, which aren't real. Take your self-rightous bigotry to some other thread. Lucid dreamers tend to get angry when someone tells them it's wrong to do something in a lucid dream. On my site, I have coined the term "dream police." These are people like you, that tell other people what's right and wrong in lucid dreams. That isn't morality, ethics, or compassion. That is just ingnorance. I don't care if you don't like what I do in my dreams, but I expect you to show us some respect. I hate to sound cliche, but if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all.
still, dreaming of undressing kids for sex does show you seem to have certain issues :D
signing up for a site with the sole intention of writing stories about raping kids (albeit allegedly in one's dreams)... HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?
@Maali
It depends on your definition of issues. I understand your concern, but I saw a doctor when I was twelve, because I realized that I was attracted to kids. I was afraid that I was going to turn into a child molester, but she assured me that I had nothing to worry about. She said I had a mental disorder, but not a mental illness. She helped me learn how to deal with it, which doesn't involve medication or hospitalization. One of the ways she helped me is by teaching me about lucid dreaming. Another thing she did was to help me overcome my fear of turning into a child molester. I DO NOT have self-oriented pedophilia, which is a mental illness that causes a person to be sexually obsessed with kids and lose control of themselves. I DO have child-oriented pedophilia, which is a MINOR mental disorder that can easily be dealt with. I am no more likely to molest a kid or look at child pron than a priest is likely to pick up a hooker. So, you have absolutly nothing to worry about. There are plenty of people like me, and they RARELY do anything immoral or illegal.
@havoc
You're post is wrong about everything. First of all, that's not why I signed up here. Also, these "stories" are about lucid dreams, not raping kids. Finally, there are members that have gone much lower. You should know who I am talking about. :-)
Now, here's my dream from last night. I saw Superman Returns, so I expected my dream to be about Superman. Instead, it was about babysitting Pomeranians in Lex Luther's mansion. That was weird enough, so I became lucid. I decided to skip sex this night, and focus on trying to astral project. I am a firm believer in the afterlife, but I'm kinda skeptical about astral projection. It's still worth a shot, but when I've tried it before, I've only succeded in waking myself up. I tried spinning and floating, and thinking about leaving me body. It didn't work, but I did end up in another place. I was in some kind of office. There were desks all around, but people were sitting on top of them. I asked somebody what was going on, and she said they were waiting on a nun. I said I would go find her, which gave me an "excuse" to snoop around the place. The place was like a normal office building, but there were computer parts laying all over desks and shelves. I looked at some of the parts, but I couldn't discern their purpose. Needless to say, I didn't find the nun. I did find some windows in an office, and I could tell that I was in a tall building. However, there was no city. I was in a building on the top of some snowy mountains. I decided to get a running start and jump out a window. I flew around, and I saw that the building looked wooden from the outside. It reminded my of a log cabin. I remembered that I was trying astral projection, so I thought that maybe I could "fly" out of my body. This didn't work. I woke myself up, but it was only a few minutes before my alarm went off.

Does this picture represent a lucid dream or are you posting in the wrong thread again? Speaking of how low someone can go...
