brilliant
Unbelievable.
Great!
I really loathe a bit on how there are more and more people in academics who make the demoscene look like a bunch of cranky amateurs.
Not too long ago the general attitude was: "the university people cant code, are lame, who needs fancy algorithms when I can use selfmodifying code etc etc"

hmmm, that looks very familiar:

It's not the code that rocks. It's the fact, that a GPU can already handle such complex calculations in realtime.
Lets wait for AMD/ATIs combined CPU/GPU.
buy a wii
all this time looking for a decent realtime 3D fluid simulation... my prayers have been answered!
A wii? That thing is barely faster than a gamecube
Does it need to be faster?
Hello? Faktory did this when, 2002?
gargaj: not in 3d though ..
xernobyal: Yes, it has to be when you want to do realtime fluid dynamics. And dont start with this gay "but I was told it has such an innovative controller" thing. I believe it when I have used it..

it was as 3D as it gets - or just check the Portal Process demo from ASM - same effect, only lower res.
erb, yeah, there's been smoke tech but i thought we were all about aesthetics not tech? this one is much lovlier than before.
anyway, the post was because of the water, which i have seen not
