mac is for smart people feeling different and buy the same products as all the people that feel different :D

at leas their new mac book pro revision is less bullshit than the first one:
- no more whining sound from the mother board
- no downclocked gpu
- less heat

Mac is about the OS, not just the hardware. It's like saying amiga is the worlds worst PC, cause it's 286 speed, super-expensive, and won't run windows...

Besides, recent macs are pretty well priced these days. Compare one to say a same-spec dell, sometimes apple are cheaper even. Although their upgrades cost sometimes 4x more than buying it yourself from a local shop. Never buy an upgrade from apple!

Today Apple is about software. Looking back in time it was all about Hardware /68000+3"5,68040,PPC/ + Best user friendly Gui Mac OS.
But only different thinkers are : RiscPC and Pegasos users.That is truth.
In next 3 years:
"I will buy MacOs for my cheap asian notebook and all around will call me YOU ARE MAC USER"
That sucks.

Well i still have to do the Apple vs Dell comparison by myself
however i feel that in case of Dell, complete care will be included in the price which is barely the case for Apple

Indeed Mac seems to be about the OS and the magnetic plug, and oh seems that some macbook users are nearly masturbating when thinking about "the sensation of confort of the keyboard" :)
However, os x did not evolve that much in the past few years.

But for sure, Mac is no more about hardware quality. It's Asus that builds them, it's Sony that makes them explode :) and I was really disappointed by the downclock of the ati gpu
