what is this ? http://intel.de/demoscene/

okok, i guess sometimes we do have to prove that we're pro coders and can do this shit for real. :)
you mean you'll do the FAiRLiGHT AMiGA thing? :P
here is the answer:
navis: writing fast code IS important. i no longer have a "juicy!" pc and i seriously judge demos on their performance. if a production from one group/coder runs smooth and a similar-looking production from another coder/groups runs like crap (or not at all) the latter is flawed in my opinion.
wonder if i'm the only one who actually liked the tracks by dj hell.. sure they were 'unpolished' but i had the feeling that was the point (to get people remixing)..
yemeth: what HW configuration do you have?

btw dunno whose bright idea was to put in rankings for the prods, but the voting ends on 1st of December...
yeah silly idea to do that its misleading... anyway congrats to all 5 groups you did a fine job on all the prods..
all compos should have only those 5 groups i guess

the_Ye-Ti: good idea. And those 5 groups should be the only people allowed to vote!
Heh, do I smell a back-to-the-roots movement in the scene? :)

i'm pretty sure the original tracks by hell were ace, like most of the stuff the guy touches. but of course certain people prefer to listen to demopop mixed with guitars in demos... haha. one of the top techno/electro producers gives people tracks to visualize and they just bitch around.
stop kissing ass, the tunes were absolute bollocks. it's not even a style issue (as per your demopop argument) - tunes in that genre just could be made so much better. my dog could've made that shit, and he's been dead for years.

doesnt work.
Where to vote ?
doesnt work.

try http://intel-demoscene.de/
http://intel.de/demoscene was a 32s life link
keops: and when one group retires they have to vote for a new one from the same country. That would make life easier for once
Demos featuring ripped music + that is made to lick Intel`s anus is sure worth a place in hell.
What's with the macos folders in the zips? Got me all excited that there was an osx port of each one.
One other thing.. I've not looked into it, but I'm assuming this is marketing for intel in some way, one of the demos even had an intel centrino duo logo at the end. So, a question:
Are any of the demos actually threaded so they use multiple cpus? And do any of them actually need a really fast cpu?

the music wasn't ripped at all.
I think that this kind of event is very nice.
Demoscene faithfully represented by great groups, with recognition from Intel, I say yeah !
I don't see the problem with the tracks, since it was allowed to remix them. Musicians could express themselves too.
Dissing people out there are jealous bitches.

But willbe! It didn't run on AMIGAAAAAA! therefore it is not scene and it's for INTEL PCSUCKSLOL!!! so it must burn!
psonice: the ogg decoder runs in its own thread! \o/ ;)
I missed plastic on the compo :(
