80's Music Party Winners
category: general [glöplog]
In the 80's there weren't national music parties yet.
They began to be most popular in the early 90's.
Now, imagine there is an International Music Party for the oldest modules.
Which tracks do you think would be the winners for these years?

No doubt about 1990: Cream of the earth (cebit demo 90 - revenge of babbnaasen)
a few suggestions:
1989: one of Red Sector's megademo tunes :)
1988: SLL (one of "SLL tunes")
1987: some Karsten Obarski mod :)

1987-1988: get some Amiga MODs from Front Line Assembly :) They chained 12 4-track Amiga trackers together to produce the early albums.
That's cool, but cheating.
I'm going with Banana - Echoing for 1987 or 88, I forgot which year that was. I'm thinking 88 as I seem to recall Alcatraz Megademo 3 being from 88, and it was used there as well.
That tune was EVERYWHERE. (and rightfully so. it rules, and doesn't sound like an Obarski mod (: )

what the hell are "music parties" in a demoscene context?
Truck: that tune indeed rules. :D A timeless classic.
T l: I'm from Argentina -- je, don't speak english at all -- sorry!!!
I'm interested in the "4ch music" tracks that would be winners in the demoscene context, although they weren't present in a real International Party...
Something to use the imagination... but I'm glad all the answers were wise and interesting answers, I hope it was understood.
