why Kewlers stop the scene ?

kewlers quit the scene because scene is dead
yes it is a promise

I guess you mean that seriously. Are you gonna make the interview or shall I take over?in the next hugi magazine there will be a in-depth interview with kewlers, revealing the truth behind everything.
speaking of which, they probably quit the scene because they sensed Adok/Magic/Ep were about to stalk them and ask them for a Hugi interview or something :)
keops: I honestly can't see any other reason.
in the next hugi magazine there will be an in-depth interview with everyone, revealing the truth behind everything.
What nobody realises is that it was actually the rest of the world who simultaneously left the scene. The demoscene now consists only of Kewlers, Optimus, Fairlight's introtool and the Boozembly cliffs.
mystery solved.
mystery solved.
in truth, they are not exploding the boozemblycliffs, but those three groups all came to earth with a spaceship, which then transformed to the cliffs as we know them. now they have left back to their homeworld.
sad but true. :(
kusma: uh, no shit? I did see magic tricked facet into an interview. I'm happy with the fact that he lied about the ties between lemon and limp ninja -the first to reveal the truth gets a goddamn pound of cheese.
the truth is out there
Wait wait, what was this about cheese?
fish?
fish?
the fishmaster!

Hello everyone,
There's been some discussion with other compo winners about the Assembly compo prizes, and seems that about everyone is unsatisfied with the prizes they got.
Everyone got the same junk: motherboards, processors that don't fit the motherboards, cordless mice and keyboards, finger print scanners etc. Most of us got that stuff already and/or don't need it. The only decent prizes that i know of, went to the compo winners (laptops and a projector) which are relatively easy to sell, unlike the other stuff.
It's true that demo making isn't about the money, but it sure would be nice to have some decent compensation for our hard work. What we want is cash to cover our expenses like travelling, entrace tickets, booze, beer etc. I'd rather take 2000 euros cash for democompo's 1st place, rather that 5000 euros worth of some random computer parts.
This is not aimed as a critique towards the asmorgs, i think you did great job arranging the party, like always. I know that it's up to the sponsors what the prizes are. But you really should tell them that we don't want to be the trash yard they can push their old stuff like previous year's models of crap noone buys anymore.
In the past, one of the big plusses to release a production at asm and push it till the end, instead of releasing it later in some smaller party, was the prizes. I'm not sure if it's like that any longer.
bestest regards,
Curly Brace / Kewlers

so the reason for quitting are the shitty prizes from asm :)
btw... thx for the spam

xen: that wasnt spam.. that mailing list exists to discuss these issues. just unsubscribe if you dont want to hear about it. you were prolly subscribed when getting oldskool ticket. either way, not curly's fault that you got the email.
i have great respect for kewlers skills.. but the spirit displayed in the mail above is not very "respectable", although reasonable in a way. you can call it professional, i guess.
anyway, quitting is a result in 99% of the cases of finding more interesting passtimes and/or work. i don't think that bad prizes or being dissapointed with the scene in general are reason enough.

CLUESHOPPE!!!
earx: what would be your respectable way to tell the orgas that the prizes you've been getting for the last few years are quite useless and that you don't need any more fingerprint scanners?
earx: my guess is that you mixed two different things up because of Xenusion's joke ;)
