The Art of NFO Files... Need your help

Hi fans,
today I need your help with some very Demoish' Objects, the originally NFO Files.
As we all know, about them, in every Demo, Musicdisk, Product, or whatever I forget, what fits inside our Scene Spirit.. there is one NFO File. With his own Style, Logos, Symbols, Credits, Infos.. even all what you need to know about the Creators, or whatever they want to say to your groupies ;-) it's just inside.
But, my questions to you are:

- are there some programs, which makes the NFO File creation.. hmm.. very easy, and
- are there some templates i can use, or should i say.. terms, rules, Documentation, Intros, Tutorials about the creation of NFO Files
- and how can I convert my NFO-Files into a Bitmap, just like the Assembly'06 Rules File, cause I think this Font is very cute, anybody knows the Font Name?
- and my last Question.. as I remember back in the old Ms-Dos Times, for several Demos exist an.. let's say 'Nfo.exe' you can open it & watch your NFO File, scroll them UP & Down while cool Chiptunes play & in the Background some Animations.. Starfields, Objects are playing..., so, I want you to ask.. are there some of these Programs still in use.. some programs i even can use for my created NFO-File, to show the fans my NFO-File?

yes there are but only lamers use those. real sceners ask ascii artists to do the infofile design for them.

in earlier times the infofiles were quite structured, featuring memberlists, releaselists, bbs distribution hiearchy and so on. nowadays, basically everything goes.

yes there are, but it would be poitless. the advantage of the infofile is that it's small, and it can be displayed under every circumstances. that's why the infofile is in text-format. else one could directly do some pixelled sheets.

yeah, nfo-viewers were fun, athough already pointless back then. i don't see any advantage in using those anymore, but it would be fun if someone would. :)

its not figlet font, its drawn by artist called "h7" you draw with your own style and dont rip others style. its like graffiti, you must invent your own font. you can convert your ansi/ascii to bitmap with pabloview or acidview

link me beautiful looks ok, though I've never used it. (I use a text editor+copy/paste personally)

actually, for my diamond mind broken we prived BOTH the .nfo and a .png of it so that people that opens .nfo with notepad knows they can get more out of it. also I think that gives respect to the ascii artist, in the way that it looks like he intended it to do. altho, you should never skip the .nfo.
