this is a personnal point of view, wouldn't a credits list aside the screenshot, vertically displayed, be better than the current state?
That's how it temporarilly looked, I didn't like it too much, it looked very crowded.

Related, what about contributions to parties? Does that data exist on demozoo?
Not yet, but it has been discussed before.

also if max size of screenshoot is (hopefully) increased somewhen in the future the vertical bar could prove problematic with bigger screenies.
but i have to agree it looks a bit funny as it is
especially with many ppl involved, as in http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=61724
needs some sorting i guess, have a list of priority like 1=musician, 2=graphician,3=coder,etc. and somehow make them distinguishable in blocks or just some more space between members of 1 and 2 f.e.
i know you are working on it, just wanted to put in my obvious ideas.

how do you edit the credits when they are totally wrong on prods ?

They're working on a better system for adding/editing credits. Everyone just needs patience. :)
But why even bother to add credits when they are not complete and/or totally wrong.
pantaloon: from what I understand, it's sipping data from demozoo. That has a lot more detail on prods that the pouet database, but stuff like this has to be hand edited really, and there's a lot of prods. Demozoo is still in beta too.
But if it's possible, it may as well get linked now I think. Especially if we can start editing the data at the pouet end and have it fed back.
As to why bother.. if it's going to happen, it has to start somewhere. Think how incomplete pouet was 10 years back. And mistakes happen all the time when submitting prods here too.. they just have to get fixed.

Whoever said that or is saying that needs to be stepped in the mouth. We got a onetime datadump and there'll be some sort of syncing somewhere down the line but at this point the db's are independant.
Right, sorry. Somebody mentioned something along the lines of "next time it syncs" so I figured it was perhaps set to copy across daily or something.
If we're using a onetime dump for now, are 'fixes' going to happen here or at demozoo?

Well, guess I was just misunderstood. Or I used the wrong words. There's a reason why I wrote this in the oneliner:
Anyway, yeah, sorry for not being clear enough.

well, fixing is pointless at the moment since this is not exactly the final thing (I'm sure Gargaj will write more if you ask him in the thread)

Nothing has been set in stone yet - Demozoo is still in beta and we don't have an API yet.

Well those in the session about it at Revision 2013 basically got them to promise a release by the end of this year. :)
A couple of things I just wanted to comment on;
That data DOES exist on Demozoo, not sure why Saga said it did not - he should know. :) We also have graphics and music and everything else released at parties.
psionice is somewhat correct (as Gargaj explained above), as is Pantaloon in his assumption that not all credits are correct for every production. This is the nature of BETA software/datasets. :) Having said that, if something is incorrect - feel free to tell us. Or Pouet.
We did, and we will.

So yeah.

That is all.

Ah, finally I can send gargaj what he deserves!

The props go to Redhound this time who cooked up a new server for the scene.org hosted sites.

I thought more of a credits system that actually links users to parties. The way we do it right is by just mentioning handles in the party description, right?
Gargaj: that was delayed, it was originally for the whole "finishing 2.0" thing. Props to redhound for his part too.
@Gargaj : have you tried using only one color (#446688) to show a comment/thumb up/down icon in prod comments. Alternative lighter blue (#6688AA) could be used to separate lines of comments (odd : one color, even : the other one).
