I wasn't there, so my opinion should be discarded as pointless trolling, but... I can see why one group having a bunch of banners proclaiming their greatness has a certain suckiness, it shouldn't have happened.
That said, it's pretty obvious who is to blame: all the other groups! Where the fuck are your banners you lazy bastards? Bring back the oldschool attitudes :D

Oh great, this gives me the chance to tell Axel that I wasn't trying to be arrogant by declining his beer offer during the concert, I just wasn't drinking any alcohol during the whole party :)
declining free beer isn't arrogant, it's just plain stupid.
oh... I've read so much shit there... My congratulations people, you're doing a great job in killing the scene. :)
what?
hmm... Never mind. My words was inappropriate.
we can't kill something that's allready dead.
@SoDa7: Your words were appropriate.
It seems that you pointed out a feeling that assumingly more sceners experience...

so scene is dead?
Nah I don't think that at all, since BP was a such an "alive" thing!

those who say that the scene is dead are dead themselves. True demoscene life exists only at demoparties!
So, to those who thought that having beamer slides just announcing the presence of the group was arrogant... would you've felt the same way if it was Boozoholics or Jumalauta doing it? :)
As for Brainstorm; most of them are great guys. The whole marketing-campaign & taking-things-very-seriously I simply see as misguided oldschool'ishness; kind of like bitfellas.

did brainstorm exist between 1993 en 2004?
yeti, we did not release..if that is your question? exist = yes
during that period, they were just boozing.
I wish I could see more banners at parties. It would be easier to spot some people you always wanted to speak to...

You should bring that on stage the next time you win an award... so next year (c:
a thread about maali that reaches 100 posts within a day, what is the world coming to :(
shall i open a "havoc" thread just for you? :)
navis, yeah... bring back the oldskool. i would love to see more of that.. problem nowadays is that everyone is around the bar instead of their group tables. and i dont mind that either :)
saga msx: thanks, but no thanks :)

leija: no worries, I didn't take it like that. :)
and i don't really know why people assume we take things seriously. I guess they never visited our website before. We wouldn't do prods like Cui-Zine if we took everything seriously. Maybe there were too many banners, yeah, but on the other hand we hoped that the one or the other would also make you smile, like the BRS beer-ad for example. :)
in any case, point taken.

Axel: Good, you just looked really puzzled and offended right then :D
