I really really liked the drifters demo. I think it deserved to win, and the 'boooing' was fucking stupid.

I hope to meet some of the drifters guys sometime, they seem to be awesome people :_)

StingRay: OK then. It's just pretty rude that you 'just forgot it'. Don't let it happen again, and try to be less sloppy next time.
Just try to put yourself in my shoes. What would you think when you saw your gfx in a demo and didn't get credit?

Kuroto: that's why I said that I can understand your anger! i didn't know you made the graphics and that it was said you'll be mentioned in the .nfo. That's why I didn't really care if there's an .nfo or not. After all, I just coded the demo. Anyway, as said, I do understand that and why you are pissed, I would be too if I would be in your situation. I agree that things like that should not happen but you know how it is at parties... Anyway, we'll fix the .nfo asap and you'll get the credit you deserve.

StingRay: Glad you understand. I wouldn't be so pissed if i hadn't worked for 8 hours straight on it.

Kudos to Driftes for doing what they did - and doing it immediately.

I was one of the guys booo´ing since I did not vote for Drifters as the best demo (however I think it was a nice demo).

At least I can say that I boo´ed because the result did NOT reflect what I personally wanted, and booing was/is the only option for me to express that.

Kuroto: so thanks for your graphics as they indeed helped us and are pretty nice. and sorry for the trouble, we'll take care it won't happen again.

puryx: nice to admit that you were booing, however, i have one question: how would you feel if you made a tune, win the compo with it and ppl start boooing? for me, scene always was about to respect others work and booing out something only because you don't like it is the worst form of disrespect I can think of. many times i faced compo results where i totally disagreed but well, if ppl voted like that, it's ok. and anyway, what does boooing change? imho, it's pretty immature and childish. also, don't you think it's pretty contradictory to booo even though, according to yourself, you think it was a nice demo? that makes as much sense as the boooing.

I´m at all not trying to glorify what I did, but trying to explain why it happend... at least why it happend for me.

I probably did something childish - but when you´re passionate about stuff, you tend to let your feelings take over - I hope that you guys wont kill me for that next time we meet :)

Surviving the test of time doesn't need good compo results on a demo. What matters is only the demo itself. So: Take it easy, it was a compo with great releases and that's all what matters.

whaaa???....youre new to the scene right? 88-96 as far as i reckall was pretty much all out war! and freindships within your own group, and a couple of other groups (those you greeted before it was common to just greet everyone with atleat a couple of releases under their belt). This is the result of obviously good tender and caring people and as such it has nothing to do with "the scene"

Sure people had issues with styles and namevoting and personal issues, but 88-96 wasn't all out war. You had people you respected and people you didn't care for, just like today.

Iblis: I am anything but new to the Scene. And yes, back then it was much more aggressive but still ppl respected each other! If there was a problem, fucktros and war demos were made and at the end it was about skills who would win. So if you want tell me that there wasn't any respect back then I actually have to think you are new to the scene....
