Transformers movie

TomS4wy3r: nah, the very essence of Transformers is to sell you toys. :)
:D

Well to be honest, every independence movie coming from the states has sucked...
- Independence Day
- Die Hard 4.0
- The day after tomorrow
- Armageddon
- War of the Worlds
- Spider-Man 2 (possibly the worst movie ever made IMO)
- Superman Returns
- Men in Black I & II
- Wild Wild West
... All utter bullshit about some American saving America (or the entire world). So that doesn't give Transformers good odds.
What, you didn't like all those movies?? Are you crazy?!
Just kidding! They all sucked so bad!!! There must be a "Generic Hollywood Script Generator" somewhere. If not, maybe some scene coders should write one and make a fortune!
Shane : "There must be a "Generic Hollywood Script Generator" somewhere"
There must be a Script Generator for this kind of Euro-1337-superior-movie conversations too. :(

toys!! \o/
The Transformers movie kicked ass and then some. Or at least the sequel will, I'm sure!
Yeah. It has robots that like transform like into cars and stuff. And then they beat the shit out of each other and stuff. And it has explosions and stuff. What more do you need?
Oh yeah, pop corn.

Yeah! And hot chick who knows about Fourier transforms!

Damn, this thread is getting really horny ! :)

TomS4wy3r: I'm usually an easy audience for action movies but Transformers was really full of shit :)

@Keops : Thanks for the tip. Now I'm a bit worried... :(
Well, I had some major issues with the plot, cheesiness, and loopholes. Some scenes will make you cringe. However, the action scenes were really something. Seeing Starscream against those fighter jets was pretty friggin' rad.
Autobots, roll out!
Autobots, roll out!
I rate a movie on this simple premise. "Did I lose attention and wished I was somewhere else? Did I have adequate time and attention to spare to the movie?"
If I answer "no" to first question and "yes" to the second, it means it was a good movie, regardless of genre or content. If the second question was "no" then obviously it cannot be a valid review.
Anyway, I have mixed feelings about seeing it.

NeZbie has leading :)
There wasn't enough transforming. The humans could have transformed into ice bears and farted co2 at the decepticons.
Apparently "Transformers" was nothing more than a US military recruiting ad. And a GM ad. And a toy ad. And maybe even a movie.
It's soooooooooo good to see fifty-tons killer 'bots beating the shit out of each others. :) Not the biggest blockbuster of all times, but a really impressive teenage popcorn movie. Sometimes a bit gross, though.
I miss Soundwave :(
@Gargaj : You actually had a boisterous CD-player in the movie, I thought it was kind of a nod to Soundwave. =)
That was supposed to be soundwave, but they changed it to Frenzy because Soundwave would never be a puny cdplayer!
Rumour has it that Soundwave will be in Transformers 2.

Soundwave is intended to be a new major character in the sequels, with his presence allowing a proper introduction of mass-shifting. Producer Tom DeSanto has "a very cool idea on how to introduce the Dinobots and Constructicons." Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura felt production would be quicker as the design aesthetics had been worked out. If he decides to helm a sequel, Bay may put in an aircraft carrier character, an idea which was previously too expensive for the first film.

Great! ahahah!
