Some how, i think all these sums mentioned are pretty small for a lot of people if scene-related-alcohol money is included.

teel: wow, that's a pretty goood deal for a gus max. i know i bought my gus (standard) for 250$ on a trip to the us in 95, but sold it for about 150€ in 97 when i was in need of some 16 bit sampling.

I paid about 1200-1400 Euros for an Amiga 1000 when they were all new, and all I could find was very few demos for it at that time. Man, I had better wait a few years and got an amiga500/2000 instead.
I also paid about 150-200 Euros for a Soundblaster 16 when they were new (I even imported it from USA to get it before anybody else!).

I payed 1500NOK for a working floppydrive for my C64 last year... That felt horrible! (that is about 180 Euros)
ehh about 900EU for a pinnacle DC-30 videoEditing card. I've only used it to record two 3 minutes anims :(.
Anyone wants to buy it? :D It has really sharp quality but works perfectly only under Win9x (but maybe this has changed). I'll happily sell it for let me say 130 EU. :)
