Hugi Online
category: general [glöplog]
Hi Everybody,
More than 9 months have passed since my last entry,
sorry about the past putting more entries at the
pouet bbs. If you still will 'pouetize' this thread than
you are the one to blame.
Just a small message this time that issue 33 of Hugi is now available for an online read. It's without the music so if you want to enjoy the music you still have to download the .exe.
You can read issue 33 online here:
http://www.hugi.scene.org/online/hugi33
Issue 32 can be read here (if you missed it)
http://www.hugi.scene.org/online/hugi32
If you want to support issue 34 you can e-mail me
at magic_nah@hotmail.com
For people who are still having trouble reading this thread
read my last words article in issue 33 thank you.
Yours Sincerely,
Magic of Nah-Kolor

This issue was released with almost no ads being placed, most certainly not at pouet, so I hope you are happy now. This is how we gonna do it in the future as well.

1997 called.. they want their resolution-dependent web layouts back.
Uncle-x: nice quote.. :)
all:
Remember the online version is just for the people who
are to lazy to download the .exe
Reading inside the .exe is much much better to bring back the only demo art :))

@am-fm: You can't have that girl, that's the girlfriend of Bridgeclaw already. He took her very often as model. Just have a look at his website (http://www.henningludvigsen.com/) for more nice pictures from him and his attractive gf! ;-)
hehe, thx ghandy 4 info =)
magic: shut the fuck up, really.
ah, the usual monthly Hugi-spam. I was wondering if I missed one recently, but no, here it is, right on time! :)

Ok I'm gonna nix that tip and say that style should be separate from content; put your styles in style sheets.
While I'm in total agreement that fixed size webpages are just plain BAD, fix the issue properly, not partially. Go the whole way - fix the source of the styling problem and reduce time needed to correct/expand it later. And by using style sheets, you'll be able to keep a uniform design over the whole magazine, reduce the size of the pages delivered to the end user, and make your magazine article to html parser far simpler. Content in HTML, styles in CSS.
Adok - as a bonus, if you do this, you will be making many steps toward making the webpages more accessable to the blind and disabled readers. (i.e. a LOT less time in converting.) Also, mobile devices. (as it is now, there's no way in HELL those pages will work properly on any of my phones. And that's just sad.)

Oh shit, somebody has been drinking the W3C koolaid we left out in the garden :)
Nice way to rape an otherwise great picture
People who write bad HTML are like Hitler.
Does using Dreamweaver MX make me Hitler?
No, but it makes you similar.
fixed website statements apart. Who in the hell still uses a 1024x768 resolution??
i do! widescreen si teh suxx0r! :)
OMG, the markup is a big piece of crap. It's not even funny. Seriously dudes, if you want to put something online, at least take a couple of hours to check how to do it half correctly.
