The Demoscene Mash-up Project first preview!

Since Mash-up/Cut-up/Bastard Pop is getting more and more popular and awesome, Bassie and me started a 'project' this weekend called (temporarily, until we find a better name) 'The Demoscene Mash-up Project'.
For you not familiar with the whole mashup thing, this is basically 'remixing' songs by using parts of 2 (or more) songs to create 'bastard' tracks. For some good examples, check the Team9 website or look for stuff from DJ Zebra, Party Ben, Pojmasta, Freelance Hellraiser, etc.
We thought it would be cool idea to do this with demoscene music too, bastardize, mash, remix, remake, redo famous demoscene songs.
The intention of this project will be a mixage from roughly 80 minutes filled with these tracks and to show you exactly what it's all about, here is the a sneak preview of the first mash we did this weekend. We combined the Crystal Dreams soundtrack 'Ambient Power' by Vogue/Triton with the 303 soundtrack made by Vic/Acme to create 'Crystal 303'. We hope you like it and feedback would be appriciated. :)

Nice try, but to my ears sounds WAY out of tune. And I second teel, the singing sounds even worse.
blame Vic for the horrible vocals, we tried our best to make it bearable :)

Hmmm... i remember hearing of something like this ages ago. As to the track, sorry, but vic totally killed it ;) Not bad otherwise.
Actually, when i read the description, i thought it was going to be shitcore, which really is mashed up, cut up and bastardised, and is usually a remix of a famous tune. Check out Donna Summer or Duran Duran Duran for shitcore. And.. err.. probably an idea to turn your volume down. Its called shitcore for a good reason ;)

acctually vic cheered up an otherwise very anty roxettish tune! hurray for vic and hasslehoff!! let them forever live in joy!
Nice idea though. Just next time choose some more bearable tunes in it ;)

The vocals are also in the datafiles of the demo in mp2 format, just try to open them using a decent player.
