I have read an article about dreams and there were some really interesting or scary situation of young women who slept for a really long time. I tried to search in the internet for more details but couldn't find anything. The most famous of them was Carolina Olson, a Scandinavian woman who slept for 32 years!!!
The article talked a bit more about a greek 19 years old girl from Crete. Maria Leontakou slept in 1972 and woke up at 1995. Several scientists examined her without being able to make her wake up or find out how is this possible. The most impressive is the when she woke up, she describe a whole life of 23 years she was living in her dreams. She was married, had two children, she had a job, friends, hobbies, living in an unknown place. She couldn't beleive that this life never existed in our dreamline. She made months to get back into "real" life in this "awaken" world.
I'd like to find more about these cases but it's not easy with google. Perhaps I am not searching for the right keywords. I thought I would surely find something by typing the name "Carolina Olson" plus some other keywords like "deep sleep, lethargy, 32 years" or something. But instead I found about a student called Olson in the university of North Carolina ;PPP
I'd like to know what Maria had seen in her dream before she woke up. Did she died in her other life? Or did she just slept in her dream life and woke up in our own reality? It's like I am sleeping and waking up in another place. Would those 23 years feel like cases of lost time? When her dreams crystalized into a static second reality, does this means that it felt exactly as real as reality feels like now? What is the diferrence in my senses that diferrentiate reality from dreams and makes me sure that this right now is not a dream? Am I perhaps deceived?
