It had many different names during the making process. First we started making Chicago in December 2000 when Teppo just came and said to me "Hey, lets do a demo", but that version really sucked, so we abandoned it. The second version was made in January 2001, but once again it really wasn't that what we would have wanted it to be. Finally in February 2001(after making it two weeks) the demo got it's current form in which we are quite satisfied to. The effects before the two really blue effects in the end were made quite fast, but then we ran totally out of ideas for a while(it's really not easy to make a demo when you're sick). We did some party coding too. The few 3d parts are really slow, but we try to optimize our engine better for the next demo. The code of the demo is only about 30kB big, but with gfx and music the entire demo is about 1.6MB big. Chicago features lots of plasma effects, shadebobs, some 3d stuff, particle storm and relaxing music ;) Performance 2001 party report can be found from our website in the near future.
