This is a rather system friendly affair. Unlike Losso's last (which was impossible to run anywhere besides his particular emu^H^H^H computer) this one works fine under various kickstart versions, it just doesn't look right on > 1.3. But you'll get the music anyway. :-)
I tried it on our Amiga 1200 first (WB3.1) but this didn't look right ;) So we had to use the Amiga 500 - but this one had a cable break on the floppy connector which we had to fix before the compo started *sweat*

Looks really nice. Do you fill the windows with colors?
It's all ANSI sequences, e.g.
plus the fact that Kickstart 1.x lets you overwrite the window borders with these origin/size values.
Code:
0x9b "43m" - background color 3 (orange)
0x9b "0x" - set x origin at 0px
0x9b "0y" - set y origin at 0px
0x9b "4t" - 4 rows (which is >= window height with Topaz 8 or 9)
0x9b "8u" - 8 columns (>= window width)
0x9b "0 p" - cursor off
0x0c - form feed = clear (and fill with background color)
