A note of info: the DSi does a remote-code-exec exploit over IR on the Walker, uploading a snippet of H8/300H assembly that puts some pixels on the (quite undocumented/off-spec) LCD, driven over SPI. IR comms are done by running homebrew code on the DSi, using the HGSS cart's IR features, which also had to be reversed.
