Wow, surprised it ran first in the compo. Usually the first are compofillers.

This is not possible on this platform!

On one hand, holy shit this should not be possible on a GBC. On the other hand apparently it really is not possible...

What is that ungodly flicker? It gave me a headache. Thumbs up for the effort, but this is not enjoyable to watch, at all. So it'll be a piggie for me.

I wish you just stuck with the wireframe version you have during the credits/greets. The wireframe version is perfectly nice. But let's just agree, the GBC is not a suitable platform for this kind of graphics.

Also great job on converting the music. It sounds pretty much identical to the original.

Awesome! And a great start for the compo.

@Nuclear: The flickering is intentional, it's to take advantage of the GBC's slow LCD to simulate 8 colors. Try enabling frame blending in your emulator.

Sweet port, and perfect conversion of the iconic Desert Dream music track!

@DevEd I'm not running it in an emulator.

If you have a lamp pointed on your screen, maybe try a different one.
I had flickering on seizure level with one, but was nearly flicker free with others.

Ran some tests, and it seems this prod looks best when run on an original unmodified Game Boy Color.

Hardware compatibility problems always pop up in the most unexpected places :)
Can't go wrong with Desert Dream. :)

WOW! What a ride! I never thought I'd see this on gbc. I also really enjoyed the 3D dot effects in the beginning of the demo.
Music conversion sounds great too.
