That’s because I didn’t use MYM format, I used my own format (FYM) that contains patterns compressed in RLE.

Not so many effects, but really great music here! Didn't knew that a "Apple II" have those sound-possibilities.
This is a mistake I made during 34 years! The Apple II does not have any advanced sound capabilities (only a 1-bit beeper). Nor it does have serial com, , timers, DMA, disk drive, etc. Because it is an open platform with 7 slots available for expansion cards. A bare Apple II only has RAM, ROM, a keyboard, a composite output and audio in/out for tape access (the only exceptions are the Apple IIc and Apple IIgs).
And some audio cards were released in the early 80s! The one I use is the most common one, the Mockingboard 2, that offers two AY-3-8910 and two timers. Some games were actually compatible with this card, like Ultima or Skyfox.

Ah okay, now i understand. Then it was an, so to speak, upgraded Apple II that was used here to create this sound. Nevertheless good music.

no interrupts, no timer .. wow, didn't know that apple sucked that hard from the early beginning ;)
there are two ways for use A2 interrupts: see French Touch source or read MB examples.
The Apple II is the very first mass market personal computer, so of course it sucks. But it can be extended with a lot of cards, so it's really like a PC. In that respect I don't know if we can say it's an "upgraded" Apple II. Is a PC upgraded because it has a sound card? Remember that on modern PCs, sound cards are not mandatory, by default there is only one beeper :)
The French Touch sources archive is a gold mine, I wouldn't have made this demo without his work since it's one of the few that released his sources.
