Do not give the image of a demonstration - this is the lowest thing you can do. People voted for work, they spent their time. And the head of the demo event Nyuk, personally decided not to give an image of demos. This is bestiality, this is meanness. 1. This was a gift from party organizer friends to party organizer itself. Because of that alone, this prod had unfair advantage over other prods (as soon as many voters knew the reason for this giftro and were acquainted with the party organizer too).
2. By breaking its own rules, party organizer (by mutual agreement blablabla, see above) decided not to release the prod. Youtube couldn't count as the prod. His own rules are here: http://events.retroscene.org/mf2018_rules.html?lang=English , saying "All accepted prods (including the ones which went out of compos) will be freely available to public." or at least were saying such at the time this comment was written (might be fixed later by the aforementioned party organizer!).
3. This 'prod' was neither disqualified nor released out of compo, even not put into 'wild/animation compo', what would be logical and fair for the case they suddenly decided not to publish the shown work.
Is that all is within the spirit of the demoscene?

I am actually unsure, what is more childish, the authors' decision or the reactions here in the comments. No-one seems to doubt the reality of the demo (it was shown on real hardware). Also, no-one does this to make money or make any political statements, so the demoscene spirit seems intact. I understand the argument that usually demoscene releases are released in binary form. However, I am failing to understand why so many people feel entitled to have the binary release based solely on the fact that the demo was entered into the compo.

Ultra! This rotating 3D object made my day! Who could have imagined that some one would use 3D models like this instead of the ultra common spike balls in an 8 bit demo. Nice to see all the love floin into it! :) cheers!
Not going to judge it wrong just because it was released as video. I believe it is not an animation it doesnt look like it. I rate it good.
