ok, some background information: this intro was made the night before the deadline .. 'dead horse' is the (not so) secret nick of one of our musicians .. which later was dead frequency .. so .. well. there ya go. ;) (the 'excess style' points to excess - amoeba (the invert-style demo)) .. the music always reminds me of metroid, btw :-)

Am I the only one who liked this? Well I did anyway :)
crappy music, and some moving quads.
huh? it ain't that bad as you guys pretend. of course, nothing extraordinary, but i've seen worse. synching is a bit chaotic.
I actually like intros/demos where there isn't a lot of fancy graphics but this is maybe going a bit too far:) Synching didn't fit well, except for the greetings, which were funny, but not good-looking. All in all, nothing you would remember here.

Oh, COME ON guys... don't you own any sense of humor at ALL!!??? This is a production made in about 16 hours, meant to partially be FUN, and bright people have probably figure out which 3 productions referred to in this thing. Stop being so bloody serious...

the tune was kinda cozy but the rest of the intro was bad.
there is absolutly nothing wrong about this very simple intro except for the name. but i guess this is a cheap way of getting some undeserved attention.
i know what crap looks like. this is smooth and simple. but other programmers might manage to make even something as simple as this look like crap.
simple is not crap, just simple. the scene would be less fun if it was forbidden to release simple stuff just because you could as well release demos that take 6 month to create.
(this is especially a problem for people who usually do 6 month stuff and want to do something simple now and then.)
next time anti-aliased fonts please. and a unique name!

apart from the name, though i know the story about it now, i find if good. the fonts are too plain, the rest is cute. nice tune too.

I'd (on behalf on Snillfisk aswell;) ) like to thank you, chaos, for more or less defending simpler releases (like ours;) ). And I want to add... we weren't really trying to get attention... we just wanted to have some fun with some of the more known prods out there. And as also stated, Dead Horse was the former handle of one of our musicians, so the idea was just TOO great to let go.. we thought. :) The scene is all about having fun, aye?
chaos; sorry if the name bothered you, it was (as slc said) just a too good thing to let go. It was created for solskogen, one of the few real norwegian demopartys, so we created it just for the fun of it. i'm the one responsible for the code - and to just get that point of the question - i'm NOT a good coder :-). The name was not chosen to get attention, for all I care it could just have disapperaed after the compo was shown, but hey, it ended up here.

Hmm... I quite liked the shading on those translucent triangles. Overall, a nice intro.

The colors are kinda nice, the music needed some sort of beat. If it had that, the flashes could possibly look good, cause now they don't. Also, the name was unfortunate since most sceners don't know or get the inside joke. But it's 40K, it's got sync...
