Not bad, but not to my taste. It all seemed too random and abstract.

The original is infinitely better.

tjah...
nice homo colors, but that's about it.

but it seems like something made over a nice night while consuming a few beers =)

Well, good average and very slow on my pIII-450 :/
added on the 2002-05-10 01:23:01 by Crest Crest
sick, strange, experimental, and a soundtrack I definitely like.

not sure about the colors, but for the rest a rulez, simply for being not another layer/scene/object show.

it's slightly better than the original when it comes to freaky effects, but I wouldn't recommend this.

The progress bar was nice, though I never look at demos/intros because their progress bars are cool ;)
added on the 2002-05-10 01:59:51 by Shifter Shifter
nice ideas, music rocks, some cool render-to-texture effects. the sync is not impressive, should have been more violent IMHO, and faster also.
But I love remixes :)
rulez added on the 2002-05-10 02:19:09 by Sanx Sanx
I wasn't going to download this until I read shifter's comment about the cool progress bar. Hopefully one of these days somebody will create a compilation of all the cool progress bars ever made, kinda like cracktro collections.

Anyhoo...

Some interesting bits, I didn't mind the colours, it gets a weak thumbs up.

Definitely better than the original. Better tune, better visuals. Thumbs up.

Definitely not better than the original. Cannot give this a thumbs down, but certainly no thumbs up...
remixes me like!
definately a concept that needs more exploring (of course lots of ppl will start complaining about that not being 'in the demo spirit')
perhaps the good old 'fuck demos let's art' comes in handy over here
rulez added on the 2002-05-10 12:57:49 by coat coat
so you see a bunch of homocolours and failing minimalism as art? :)
added on the 2002-05-10 13:02:02 by superplek superplek
that would depend on my definition of art plek :)
added on the 2002-05-10 13:06:24 by coat coat
Hmmm, I don't really know what to think about this intro. I don't mind the colors, 3state always had their own way with colors and style. But I might agree with superplek about the failing minimalism. Certainly no thumb down though.

better than the original. except for the tv tree, wasn't that cool this time.

it's that plek can define what homocolours are... =)

As always, threestate releases another great prod.

Great stuff.

Actually I dont mind the colors. It's something quite different that i've seen in intros before. syncs are great. Respect 3state.

yes sir there are, lots of 'em.

but just not this one, and neither do i like talking monkeys combined with ugly effects.

so shut up.

I like it a lot, and I like even more the fact that it's not a party release. I can't remember the last time I saw a release from a major group outside a compo... (feel free to refresh my memory)

Cool music, nice inverted colors, some great looking effects (the "beauty" voxelthing was very pretty). I'm glad they didn't overdo the synch either, I'm really bored of obvious bang-bang beat syncing that still seems to be in fashion.
But as pouet tradition obliges to whine loudly about meaningless details whenever possible, I'll say that the text boxes bother me. They're big and useless, and disturb the nice effects. Since most of the time there's really no need to say anything at all in a demo, I wish people would just let me watch the effects instead.

okay, saffron, to refresh your memory: fr-013 was released outside a compo. so was 016 btw. :)

seems like they got some inspirations from mfx-style the way they chose colors and alternated the flatshaded visuals with distortion and blur. ownz bigtime!

What the original lacked, this one adds. The overall design is more industrial and cold, 0xff00ff doesn't suit a lot of demos but this one nails it.

Actually like this remix a lot more than the original, especially as this one is missing the 3D bar chart with it's odd radial gradient texture. Though in this one the TV scene doesn't look as stylish.

Pointing out the transitions was fine too :)

Also seemed to run fine in Win7, didn't even tick any of the compatibility things on - though I'm not certain.

Very good! Not really as exquisit as the original, but close. The music is a bit better, save for the awfully load snare sample.
rulez added on the 2014-10-24 01:19:58 by noby noby
Endearing early 2000s numedia. Less awful than, say, "Melrose Space", with some cool visuals. Absolutely painful music though.
