P6112 is the latest version and is made compatible with many assemblers, and has an E1x/E2x fix. Please use the latest version and read the documentation!
Note that P61 simply doesn't implement some effect commands (such as position jumping into middle of tracks and nested pattern loops due to the decrunching of notedata).
So to decide if P61 is best for your project, ask the musician to verify that it sounds perfect. He can play the .p61 directly in the converter!
