Got me to think about how I spent countless of hours looking at the starfield screensaver in Windows 98 when I was younger :)
It seems to be lacking perspective somehow.

The guys at actionscript.org looked at my 256b starfield in JS ( 209b without fog and title ) and apparantly got one in 244b ( without for or title ) but I've not tried to "compile" their result.

Suffers from the same "bad starfield-coding" symptom that most demos in the early 90s had: bad relative speed between the different "layers of stars", no perspective and such. Not that impressive.
That's no starfield, more like a particle fountain. Or a jizzing clown.

Pandafox: sempron 1,83ghz - if i can count frames while watching it, it IS a slideshow for me. besides, effect is badly coded, actionscript is capable of much more than that.
