Fine demo

I surely had it's good moments, but they could've left out some of the weaker parts and made the demo shorter and improved the flow. But still, good job.

The gfx are a bit dissapointing, the music and coding are very okay.
Although we seen it all before on the C64, I thumbed it up for the amount of effort which was put in this production.

very ambitious demo with good music. the gfx has an original style, but look a bit ugly sometimes. unfortunately almost all the effects have a "i've seen this better before"-feeling. still, huge respect for the work invested

A lot of seen-before effects. Only the big filled vector had a wow factor for me. Cybernator is probably a good coder, hopefully he will try to be a little more innovative the next time.

Nice music and effects. Shame about the rest.

some nice effects.

I really liked this high quality demo. Yes, it's not perfect but different painting techniques and nice 2d & 3d effects made me smile, sometimes shocked even. All effects were done before but some of them are presented very nice like X-Ray lens effect :) Music is a very strong part of this demo too. Good job, keep it up.

Some neat'ish effects, but this demo would probably have been better with less graphics.. Too ugly for a thumb up..
i enjoyed it.

Respect for the amount of work put into this, but the demo in itself is quite average.

some good effect and enjoyable music, but color scheme could be better.

Thanks for the positive comments so far :). I would like to point out that the coder is very young, and he wanted to do these "already seen" effects in a demo at least once in his life. Me, I always wanted to do a "Flip Disk" part with Graham's effect, so I can perfectly understand his feelings.

To me, this demo is not about breaking code records, it's about putting in some good oldskool pixel/code/composing/syncing effort to combine effects and create an nice show to watch. And I think we pulled that off quite nicely.

Furthermore, we had a great time creating it (it's almost sad that it's over now), so Mission Complete :).

Very nice to watch! Some graphics are indeed a bit ugly but this is a great demo anyway! Nice music as well!

Good Production with some nice ideas (Sandglassdots or chessboard falls). Leaves a good taste on the tongue after all... but hell, I think I've seen the picture of the turndisc-part before on a GameOn/Magic Disc ;) At least some parts of it...

Finally it's here! What can I say? That's a huge ammount of work for your first! I wish I was half as productive :)

There are polygons, voxels, wolfenstein and just about everything we were discussing since years through email are in there :). Some fx are quite cool and smooth enough (those stretchers, dna effect and other smooth effects, wolfenstein and voxel are also nice enough for my taste no matter if blocky and speed is fine for a voxel on C64), some a bit ugly (plasma, bump mapping), also nice combination of several gfx (even if some where ugly esp. at the beginning) with plenty of fx and kickin music, the style of 64ever demos I like. I watched it twice and then read the note :)

LOL!

Well, I think there was a part with very small and smooth vectors and another part with precrunched big vector animations (spaceships crashing on twin towers and stuff).

Now, let the Ouzo drinking go on!!!

Watched globally, an average C64 demo. Watched locally, the best C64 demo in at least the last 6 months.
Nice promising code by a newcomer, but having an overall coarse and grainy feeling, with weird (with negative connotation) colour schemes, too big pixels and too little athematical accuracy.
The vector animation was best indeed.
The graphics and music were mediocre.
But more Cybernator stuff please!

Some parts were ugly but it's still cool.

cruzer, ah THAT vectorz... that counted in my brain as ANIMATION, so I couldnt find a match :D
added on the 2006-03-10 04:13:27 by Oswald Oswald
After Krill's comment (and Dane's on CSdB), I could discuss the music (personally, I feel this is some of my best work), but there's no point, really. The way something is perceived, especially graphics and music, is highly individualistic, and relative. As far as I am concerned, expect a lot worse (or from my viewpoint, better :) in the future. Same goes for colours. The mold is there to be broken, and reinvented.

Ambitious production, with some weak parts and a few really good ones. Respect for the obvious hard work.
