If the whole thing wouldn't be so damn ugly, it would be almost cool in a semi-oldschoolish way. Catchy end tune though. ;)
This was way better than I thought when I saw that it was made in basic. ;)
The fsp wen't down somewhere around 12 fps in some scenes but I got an old computer. How much faster is the same effects in c code ?

I normally don´t like any kind of keftales, but here it´s okay and I like the beginning of the demo and the bump.
Optimus you rule.
Good effects but I can't give it a thumb up. It's ok. I think using basic is not a positive thing but I would give a thumb up if demo had a better design. I really missed 2d effects and this demo is good about it. Music is average.

Some of the effects are 2 times faster. Perhaps it's even more fast for some other effects I haven't managed to check..

I was eating meatballs and rice when I decided for the name. Later, because keftedes is very close to keftales, I decided to implement the second. My brother had the idea to calculate x/y instead of x*y for each pixel, so also with some centering I got those patterns upon the planes which looks much nicer than regular keftales :)
p.s. Thanks for the comments, btw this one is in freebasic, not quickbasic. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to have it running on windows, using DLLs and getting this speed. Don't let the theme of the compo disrupt you.. (somewhere on the prize png says "The quickbasic demo strikes back" ;)

only effect i got was white writing, blue screen. :/

Shame about the colours! The music reminded me of the old days, playing the master system. The demo managed to stay entertaining, so no regrets!

A little freebasic demo I made for a competition of this great guy ;)
Pitty that it was the only entry of the competition, how strange? Back in the times quickbasic competitions was getting 4-6 entries, I was expecting more today with all those gfx/music libs in freebasic and the general enthousiasm of the qb sceners about this compiler.

p.s. The problems I am referring in the upscroller, probably need some proper doublebuffering and another music lib ;P
