refuses to work on my ati 9000 mobility. latest and modded catalyst.
Well, it seems that legalize uploaded the party version to scene.org, which means that it WILL NOT WORK on any ATI video card. This is straight from the group's mouth. I know they asked Legalize not to release it, but to be fair it has been over 4 months since the party, so as the organizer I suppose he's entitled to. And yes, they should have released a final bugfixed version by now. You can bug the coder about that, if you can find him. :)

For sh!ts and giggles, I can upload an AVI capture to scene.org. But it's still buggy in a couple places.

oh yes, and if anyone cares, this demo is actually leftover from a scrapped 2003 demo by k-rad prods. i know cuz i did the credits gfx at the end. :)

pretty decent, but a little slow-moving for my taste. it -does- however have one of the nicest "scrollers" i've sceen in a demo (unless i'm just tired and are seeing things (the effect in the screenshot :)

gloom: yep, it says "i <3 my gpu".. that was the working name of the demo in 2003 :)
added on the 2005-01-07 21:27:15 by phoenix phoenix
phoenix: they have had 3 months to release a final version. We never got one for whatever reason. The party rules clearly state that what you submit is what gets uploaded to scene.org.

crashed on my spec too. then again, what does yankees know about demo-coding anyways, harrrharhar ;)
Fuck ! this is really good ! pretty relaxing, and the first time i see a purple color-set well-used :)
the music seems a bit too dull, though funky and well arranged ...
Definately waiting for some more

ps: the 'lacey-tunnel' effect is awesome looking ... would have loved to have that idea before :)

Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the light show. This is an enjoyable demo if you happen to own an NVIDA board.

phoenix: in that case - kudos just for that. innovation isn't dead after all i guess.. :)

i happen to own an nvidia board, but still, it does not work (gf4mx)
people should _explicitely_ write _down_ the system _requirements_ in the _nfofile_!!!
added on the 2005-01-09 01:19:02 by blala blala
sorry for the long wait for the final. coming soon, i'm praying. also with remastered music.

its the usual excuses so i won't bother saying them..

lin 2005 we'll actually have something brand new.
added on the 2005-01-09 03:45:04 by basehead basehead
Good for a partyversion. Not as exciting as k-wak, but still good.

There were no requirements in the nfofile because it's just a partyversion that wasn't meant to be released. Anyway, to run it you'll need an NVIDIA GF3 or better (that is: no GF4MX cards, as they're GF2s in disguise!)

Music's sound rules big time. Be cool with the low bottom frequencies, my sub had a so great experience with them that he prefers to stop working when I put something else ;)

Really, great job with the music IMHO.

Beautiful ambience, brilliant music and nice colors, not to mention the effects... <3 <3 <3

the partyversion avi phoenix linked has the remastered music which sounds ten times better, fwiw. it's low quality video, glitchy (actually more glitches than playing it natively on the nvidia), but if you're a curious radeon owner i guess it's better than nothing.. maybe..

final still coming

watched the video
music is good, visuals are ok
but why does it need gf3, i still can't understand...
rulez added on the 2005-01-12 00:51:15 by blala blala
blala: why not? :)

i dunno what to think about this demo really. it's a really great and clean show, a great music, great visuals, everything works perfectly. but not for me. dunno why, but i personally miss the "wow" factor here. maybe this will change when i get to see a non-video version.

thumb up for being awesome tho :)

The 3d K was very cool. Apart from that, nothing special. partyhack with old routines and some music that didn't find any other purpose?
nice to see someone over there producing something other than text, though :P

beautiful music and some sweet scenes and effects. nice glowing and warping. a few parts could use polishing.

Oh yeah, i forgot to say that my favorite effect is the very first one: the shimmering turning squares.
