i don't can see this demo!! :(((

From what I remember of the asm2k demo compo, this demo
is a great 3d show, with finely crafted 3d objects (great modeling)
and very nice pictures by visualize. Only bad point was the
way they used 2 tunes by radix, sticking them together. The music and
the graphics are not playing well together.
added on the 2000-09-06 17:53:56 by _-_-__ _-_-__
this demo is very impressive, both the gfx & music are great, the effects are fine, and i do think that they play well together.
too bad that it requires an extra powerful machine to run...
added on the 2000-09-27 21:33:50 by Ger Ger
Runs almost o.k. (some textures missing) on my current testing rig and I must say, it's a perfect demo when it comes to the visual presentation. Don't get me wrong, the music is great too but the modeling and the 2D art are more impressive! Nice job guys!
Yikes! Just when you think you have a nice setup at home, Mature Furk comes along with a cool demo that makes your PC scream for mercy! Demands a lot, but also gives a cool demo that is over too soon.

radix rulez! i love the muzak! is a very impressive demo! visualize style rocks a lot! but you need a great PC to run it :(

I have just seen the demo yesterday in an Icafe (Yes we had great fun with Kthulu&Nuclear there! 5hours viewing demos and having fun :)

I was impressed by the very detailed modeled 3d objects! First time I see such crazy 3d models! (But they show them for a very few time.. fake?)
added on the 2001-03-08 10:18:33 by Optimus Optimus
It's basically 3DMark 2000 1/2. :)
added on the 2001-03-08 15:58:29 by phoenix phoenix
very good gfxs, very bad music, very slow code 5fps, very long loading part, bug at the end ati.dll, so a good gfxs demo with disturbed design :)
dont like the way they put it together. they raped 2 awesome radix songs imho. its good as a technical demo, but we are tired of those. we want demos with content instead please.
added on the 2001-04-21 16:26:55 by psenough psenough
a very nice 3d demo, good flow and ace graphics. it's tad slow, because of heavy lightwave models.. runs fine now, after I upgraded to 256mb ram.. 8)
added on the 2001-05-05 20:33:53 by bhead bhead
very nice example on how NOT to use Radix' music. quite overrated in my opinion, although it contained some fairly impressive 3d objects'n'stuff(tm).

read above. 8)
oh, and I think the tunes fit perfectly. 8))

Why not use radix music like this? this demo kicks :)
rulez added on the 2001-08-12 06:59:42 by Hatikvah Hatikvah
Lator, I didn't like how it stopped in the middle and loaded another mp3. Such things wreck the flow of a demo and the design suffers, in my opinion.
added on the 2001-08-27 20:12:31 by fractalgp fractalgp
Yeah, on a P2 with 128mb RAM or so, it will suck, but at 1GHz with 256mb, it'll look flawless, and no more pause between the two parts. :)
added on the 2001-08-27 21:19:02 by phoenix phoenix
randomize(3d_scenes);
3d_scenes->Run();
phoenix: that's a lie, it still loads relatively long (1ghz/640mb). maybe you need a virgin windows.

nice 3d and all ... but radix' tunes don't fit in there. i knew them before this demo, so i was even more disappointed.
added on the 2001-08-27 22:35:45 by robotriot robotriot
pah, the music fits :)
and oh yes, a bunch of 3d stuff. but i can't see all those boring common used objects and scenarios :)

thumbs up!

thumbs UP!!! :)

Amen. Throw those thumbs in the air, people!

Does anyone have a clue where to find the original radix tunes?
rulez added on the 2001-09-02 14:48:26 by Shifter Shifter
the mp3s are on ftp.scene.org/pub/music/artists/radix/mp3

and associated mirrors.

Amazing 3D demo. Maturefurk kick ass! It ends with the best part in my opinion, forcing you to run it again and again

Hey, I missed a reason to rant =)

Robotriot: I have a 800Mhz system with 512Mb under my desk and It runs smooth as a baby ass , even with a crippled Win2k installation that BSOD's on me every hour or so( with the clunky tnt2 m64 card I'm still stuck with, that's a bloody miracle). Stop telling people they're liars because your system stinks.

added on the 2001-09-18 02:50:08 by Shifter Shifter
This demo absolutely rocks... like a lot of demos, you truly get the most out of it when some time goes by (and have a more powerful machine)
rulez added on the 2001-09-18 04:34:05 by mac mac
i just saw it again...

and oh, i ´had to vote it again...

there is no mainstream 303/boomboom music in it.
there are no mainstream 3d scenes in it.
there are no rgb-to-the-max textures in it.
there are no lame posing texts or boring lyrics in it.
BUT this one knocks me off everytime i watch it...

hello guys, wake up, vote!
added on the 2001-10-04 23:46:46 by PigPen PigPen
Vote dope.

We don't need no stinking Dark City bathroom intro and orchestral movie music.

This one really don't have about any design at all. It's just some 3d scenes one after another one.

Hmm... Some nice 3D models in this demo. To bad there's not any real design to it, but oh well.
rulez added on the 2002-03-06 07:38:18 by sea_monkey sea_monkey
The music definitely roxx. But the scenes (as far as i get) are nothing special. Black backgrounds suck.
And at least that's the only demo that can totally crash my system.

A typical design-demo. The first part is good, the second part is boring.
rulez added on the 2002-03-24 18:07:13 by ravity ravity
the soundtrack(s) is/are good. visuals are ok too, only design has a flaw in it. also, I ran the prod on 1.2TB (Windoze 98) with 256DDR and GF2 GTS and the fucker is still slow! flashy as it was, it still doesn't beat haujobb prods in this genre, IMO.

Work fine under gf4 64mb ddr but on most grafict card is a little bit slow, like tnt and ati.

Good job, vote it!

I prefer this to Lapsuus on the Amiga, just because this is more of an effect-driven production. Granted, there's no lack of great 3D scenes (that statue!), but the effect sequences definitely show a roots-style influence and respect, as well as fantastic 2D artwork and quirky-cool music.

the original tunes are more long and the end of the first one is one of the best parts of the whole music, but they cut it, what a shame! :( Anyway, all fits very well, the whole demo is almost perfect.

Okish.. I consider it as a cheap attempt to be cool like Sunflower/Pulse team hiring the same lead artist to support H.R. Giger's vision of a LSD trip. To me, yet another repetitive Visualice style demo... yet then.. I believe it could have been revolutional
